Drove to both locations that their hours said they were open. They weren't . So tired of this. I'm done trying. I understand the pandemic has been hard on restaurants but apparently it's WAYYY harder on TDS.

I used to love this place years ago when in college. Was excited to return and get a burrito. Unfortunately, it was soo bland, lacking heat or spices. Maybe the tacos are better? Id rather go to chipotle or Qdoba for burritos than here, which is unfortunate since I’d rather support locally

Well for starters she seemed like she was stoned. Also I asked for a steak burrito. She pulled the rice and beans on, the steak was running low and instead of waiting for more to come she just put on what she had which was nothing. Then she grabbed a handful of cheese to hide that there was no steak. That is great service if you ask me. I almost forgotten the tall brunette taking care of the money portion was dasing out in outer space like nobody was home inside. Maybe also stoned. Horrible burrito not satisfied at all.
Sadly this place is really going down-hill. I've been eating here off and on for 20 years and used to LOVE it. Staff downtown sitting on tables and buckets doing nothing but staring into their cell phones. Burritos made without cognizance of concepts like flavor. Not sure they even knew they were making food for customers, thought they were just making rent. Yes, you have to spread the sour cream and guacamole evenly or at least attempt to. You have to attempt to make sure the other ingredients are layered and the product is fresh. You probably shouldn't be trying to close at 630pm on a Friday when your sign says 8pm close. The lack of energy is evidenced by anyone who remembers lines out the door of TDS on Friday nights in years past. If I wanted a snooze button I'd live in Bozeman. You should have some level of hygiene too. I say that last line loving this place for being an island of counter culture and far from a germaphobe. Like most Missoula institutions this place has succumbed to the disease of lukewarm hipster apathy that has neither thought nor courage. Yes, I could tell all that from a burrito. Even the music smelled of some superficial Spotify funk playlist curated by a robot whose creator felt these rubes would hop on a Wild Cherry bandwagon if only because they dont know anything beyond it to know better.
Excellent burritos in Missoula. I always go for the Baja fish burritos.
