Best steak I’ve had in Missoula. Staff and ownership act like they really care. With that kind of uncommon courtesy I’ll be back and share the news with friends. Carry on Second Set!

So disappointed. Food was beyond terrible. Not sure why they stay in business

My husband and I were looking for a restaurant near our hotel in downtown Missoula. We were told of this restaurant and decided to try it. Wonderful food, great ambiance (It is in a building restored to the 1930"s art deco, which is a destination in itself). We both had the Caesar salad which was one of the best I've ever had. I had the Bone In pork chop with ranchero beans, charred pineapple, pickled onion, cilantro (YUMMY!) My husband had a steak special that was cooked med rare just the way he likes it! If you are staying downtown you should really try this restaurant!

Best meal in Missoula! Great steak, curry dish, etc. We loved it! Wonderful service. Good wine. Ambience is good but not as special as the food!

I love this atmosphere. The darker room gives off romantic and cozy vibes. You almost forget where you are when inside because the setting feels very private. The portions are huge, the wine selection is great, the servers are friendly and the food is prepared with great care. If you have leftovers most heat up really nicely and you get to relive your dinner all over again. I love the chill vibe and want to eat here every night.

Was really rooting for this place to be great, but sadly could not deliver. They are in a unique location and have an interesting view and decor which we appreciated. They serve beer and wine, no liquor. So my husband and I opted for a glass of the Obsidian Cab. We ordered the apple honeycomb salad to start that didn't arrive and instead we got our entrees and had to ask for the salad - and actually, that salad was the best part of the meal. For entrees, I had the Pork Milanese and my husband the Lamb Mafaldine. The Pork was hammered! Pounded too thin, thick breading and over-fried. I couldn't cut it with the serrated steak knife they provided - it was like eating jerky/I had to rip it apart with my hands. The Lamb dish was okay per my husband. We cut the night short and went to another restaurant to enjoy dessert and after-dinner drinks.

One of the best restaurants in Downtown Missoula. Every dish is mouth-watering, and the ribeye is transcendental. I love eating here!

Very interesting place located off the lobby of the old Florence Hotel so you need to wander in a ways into the building to find it. Also be sure to leave time to find a parking spot before your reservation. Background music was out of sync with the are deco vibe of the building, nit pick. The price point for Second Set is moderate. The pork milanese was very reminiscent of wiener schnitzel with an interesting cream sauce with greens. The Caesar salad was classically prepared with nearly a full head of romaine trimmed down. The house made dressing was perfect except there was a bit too much of it. Beer and wine only at the bar.

Super menu. Vegetarian options. Get the dumplings! Great prices. Don’t skip dessert!
