We chose to eat here because we were towing a trailer and needed an area we could park it, along with the good reviews River City Grill has. Nice interior and friendly people. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was good and coleslaw which needs work, very bland. Husband had a breakfast scramble which was load with ham, that made him happy, but way too much cheese. He also ordered sausage gravy which was very good and blueberry muffin that was marvelous. So good, I would return, but could work on improving a few things.
Our son long hauls for Roehl Transport out of Michigan....we live in Idaho..He called tonight to tell us about the wonderful chicken carbonara he had at your restaurant....he just raved about it and said you all were so friendly and the food was so good that my husband & I just have to take a drive and eat a meal there....Said it was so clean .... Thank you for taking care of my son out on the road ?
The food has always been good but tonight the service was horrible. We ended up walking out after the waitress walked by our table and did. Or acknowledge us or take our order. She took the order from a table that was seated after us and just kept walking by us. It was not busy.
Big portions and tasty food! Good place to stop and rest while long drive.
My first time here, but certainly not my last!I was greeted warmly, and seated promptly by the host. The waitstaff was respectful, took my order right away (admittedly, I perused the menu online prior to arriving).I started with an appetizer of mozzarella sticks that were perfectly made, hot and stringy when bitten into. For my main course I ordered the shepards pie, which came with a soup or salad. I chose the bowl of tomato soup that was really good!The shepards pie was good, and they gave me a good sized portion (I only ate about half, lol).For desserts they have a variety of pies, and a cheesecake. I chose the cheesecake covered with caramel.Price is well worth what you are served in my opinion.I recommend anyone that finds themselves in the area, and is hungry, stop in!
Gem at a truck stop!!! Crunchiest onion rings ever!! Service was fast, burgers were huge and tasty. Clean restroom. Family atmosphere. Employees were professional. Not pricy at all for the amount and quality of food.
Best tomato soup iv ever had in my 30 years alive. The staff is friendly and the food delicious. Has that home cooked comfort food flavor. Everything is made from scratch. Being an over the road trucker far from my home in Texas it soothed my home sickness. I will be sure to stop in anytime I'm passing through.
Wow! Had the corned beef hash... I just can't praise this dish enough! First time I've had it where it wasn't mushy and out of a can. Absolutely loved it!! Even the crispy bits were Perfection!! Will definitely make this my go to stop on my trips!!
Greatest chicken and waffles ever, home made caramel maple syrup. Top it off with a piece of coconut cream pie
