We love this place! All but one of the servers are super attentive and friendly. The food is awesome, the atmosphere is always great, and the music isn't ever on the top 40s which makes the experience so much better as you're not listening to generic pop bs blasting the entirety of your stay.Really the only worthwhile place in Helena that isn't fast food, is affordable, and has AWESOME buffalo chicken and perfectly salted fries.
If you want chicken, this is the place to get it in Helena. They "broast" it, so it is rather different from fried. They are trying to bring back the atmosphere from old, but I miss the crackle of the logs in the firepit inside. The gas fire is nice, but the smell of wood and the occasional crackle and pop is missing. They recently added nice gaslight lanterns outside near the entrance.
So about a week ago, my grandfather and his wife placed an order and paid for it. They lived out-of town so I was tasked with picking it up to bring to their house. I didn't know that it was already paid for. I gave them the name, got the order, paid for it, and was off. When we opened the boxes, we had the complete wrong order! They only ordered fried chicken, baked beans and coleslaw. We had a burger, chicken strips, wings, and jojos. We didn't plan to complain because we were pretty far out of town and elected to make the best out of what we got.Then, Suds Hut called us! They realized we had not only had the wrong order, but paid for someone else's. They really tried to make it up to us but we aren't really worried about it. We were visiting from Alabama, and my grandfather lives out beyond the valley. But we appreciate that they tried to make it up to us, and the burger was pretty tasty! I give them 5 stars for their integrity if nothing else.
Amazing fried chicken, skin is deliciously crispy and the meat is soft and moist. Their Chicken Filet sandwich is one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve had. Amazing mood lighting, kind service and just in general a worthwhile experience. Only thing that keeps it five stars is that their fries are unfortunately very gross. Wouldn’t be that big of a deal but nearly all entrees come with either jojos or fries, so it’s an extreme shame that they’re the worst part of the meal.
Fantastic chicken and a wonderful place to meet friends for drinks. I have eaten here for years and have never had a bad meal. The chicken little light is a great way to eat only the white meat with a breast, a wing, jo jos and a salad. My go to meal and it is always amazing.
Went around 10 pm after I got off work with coworkers. Staff was super friendly and the food was still great even late. Beer was ice cold and in a giant glass too which was awesome. Will visit again while I'm in helena still
Ehhh.... I think all places are being challenged right now with finding good back of the house help. The food was comped- so I had a fantastic bar tender, but a poor kitchen experience. I love the ambiance, bought a cool hat and I'm willing to give it a second try!!!
Food was amazing! Service was amazing, Ashley was our server and she was great! We are from great falls and will definitely be back when we come to Helena! Would definitely recommend!!
We were able to get a table pretty quickly and the staff was very kind. Although it was very busy and our waitress was tired. She was kind and helpful.The food came quickly and was hot. It was also very filling.
Had a delicious Cheeseberger during the lunch rush. The food came out quick and was fantastic. Our service was excellent and Angel was very awesome and took very good care of us! Thanks for such great service. Always keeping me coming back!
