Enjoyed the delicious sweet crab pasta dish as well as the mushroom with chicken pasta dish. The Tre Leoni Red Wine was delicious and the cocktail varieties were endless. Our server, Ian was knowledgeable and friendly.
Best dining experience in months. The ambiance was comfortable, relaxing, with good taste. My server (Sean) was professional, tasteful, kind and knowledgeable. I had the Vegetable Orion special and it was delicious. Spiced perfectly with an unusual blend. The margarita was also spectacular. Could not have had a better dining experience.
We arrived at the restaurant at 5:20 it opened at 5:00. The host that on duty was the rudest host I have ever met. When we approached the host stand he was fumbling with menus for a few minutes after that he asked us if he could help us. I asked if he had a table for 3 available ( my husband and I were with his 89 yr old mother who is on a walker). He looked around quickly and said I have nothing available and it would be at least an hr. I tried calling this restaurant for 2 days and no one would answer the phone! I noticed there were open table so I asked if they took reservations and he said no. He said we could sit at the bar and wait if we wanted. I explained that my 89 yr old mother could not possibly sit on a bar stool or stand for an hr. He said possibly we could find some lower seating at the back of the restaurant . Understand he never tried to open the door for us as we approached. He at first ignored us. He was very cold and had no appreciation for the fact that it’s not easy getting an older person out for dinner that has walking problems. We left to find another restaurant which we did and they welcomed us with open arms! Good food isn’t the only reason people go to a restaurant. If their first impression is poor chances are they will go elsewhere next time.
The food was amazing. My husband said it was the best lasagne he has eaten (besides mine). I had linguine with shrimp and it too was amazing. Friendly service and great atmosphere. We did take the advise and got there at 4pm sat at the bar and we were seated at 5. By then there was an hour wait. Try it you won’t be disappointed.
We have never been able to get a seat in the restaurant, so have only been in the bar, but we love the atmosphere and food. This is a new favorite of ours in Helena. Hopefully we will one day get into the restaurant and sample more of their dining choices as the bar only has appetizers and desserts available and not the full menu.
Best food around town if you enjoy American Italian food. The specials are always interesting and very tasty. The new expansion is a great way to enjoy music with extra room. On one side you can drink and have appetizers while enjoying a fantastic dinner.
From 1833 the building is a charmer! The service was decently fast and friendly. We ordered the steak, Tuscan chicken, and Chile sea bass. The steak and the local beer were great! Sea bass was good with a great portion. The Tuscan chicken on the other hand was not the best- too much was going on and the chicken was overpowered by the other ingredients. Overall, the ambiance of the place is amazing and the servers are quite friendly.
We had delicious Italian meals here after a long drive from South Dakota. Nice location in a historic building.
Really great time. The service was impeccable, the drinks were fantastic, and the food was amazing. I did the tenderloin special and loved every bite, and the creamy parm salad dressing is so good I was mopping it up with the bread (big shout out to kitchen crew!). Great ambiance, location, etc. A must visit if you're in Helena.
We arrived at 5:30 on a weekday and were told that the wait would be 45 minutes even though the restaurant looked uncrowded. We had some cocktails in the bar and a six shrimp appetizer which seemed overpriced at $14.95. Once seated with a very nice wine we ordered food. My dinner was good, but my wife’s dinner of chicken Marsala had a very watery sauce that flooded the plate. The huckleberry cheesecake desert had no actual huckleberries and appeared to have come out of a box. It was a nice atmosphere, but will not be our first choice for some time.
