Caution third party delivery drivers. I did a delivery for them and it was so big my entire Car was filled. The customer said they should have given me a 50 dollar tip. They didn't. The customer said she was gonna call them. And they still refused to give me my tip. So caution delivery drivers. Truly it really sucked. Cause they said because I'm a third party company they don't have to give it to me. And that it goes to there crew.
Atmosphere was nice. Service was great. Soda refills were timely. Food was pretty tasty. Only complaint was that the pizzas and lodgepoles were really greasy, really really greasy. But hey, it tasted good. I actually drained the grease off the two slices of pizza I ate and it was enough to leave a puddle on the plate. The Thai Pie pizza was pretty good. Would visit again.
Lived all over Montana and have always enjoyed Mackenzie River. Matter of fact I’m a River rewards member. But of the locations I’ve eaten at none are as bad as the Helena location. The wait staff just is not friendly, and most of the time you just feel ignored. There is a particular waitress that we have had multiple times, and if she is working than you are better off just taking your drinks into the back and refilling them yourself because she won’t do it. I get being understaffed, but this particular staff member won’t even ask how your food was, or tell you to have a nice day when handing you your bill at the end of your stay. Just not acceptable especially when you waited an hour for your food.If you’re living Helena and are looking for a good Mackenzie River experience you’re better off driving the hour to butte. You’d probably get your food faster.
So it was a Friday night. I understand it being busy, but I'm pretty frustrated at my experience. Service wasn't the best, I can let that slide. Dining area, not cleanly at all. I can rate the food my son and I ordered comparable to microwaveable dinners, and not high end quality. I had a rice bowl where it was heated in a microwave, several tablespoons of the sauce put on it, and the chicken wasn't even warm. My son's pizza looked like it was microwaved. To say I spent 40 dollars on two meals I could've bought at any grocery store for less than five dollars was utterly disheartening. I will never go back again. I would suggest if you're considering it, find a different option. And if you the person to respond saying we're sorry for your experience, we want to make it right, don't. I will never be back and I'll make sure to let people know not to patronize, it was that bad.
Love their food, but the wait times for To Go orders is absolutely atrocious. I’m sure it’s due to short staffing - but this could be mitigated with setting reasonable expectations when placing the To Go orders. It’s very annoying sitting in a restaurant for 50+ minutes after the expected ready time. I hope this issue gets solved soon. Like I said, the food is amazing
I had high hopes for this place, but they failed! I decided to order online for curbside pickup (3 pizzas) and had the pick up time for 5:15pm. I arrived at about 5:05, early but pulled into the curbside pick up area and waited. I checked "I'm here" on the order as soon as I arrived. 5:18pm came around and I called to say I was there just to confirm. I was told the order would be right out. I again, waited..FINALLY, I didn't get the order until I walked in at 5:30pm to get my order...! ? My pizzas were just sitting on the counter waiting for someone to not be lazy and bring them to me.. very annoyed with this service!I understand arriving early, I have a wait time and I expected to wait a tad after the 5:15 pick up time but this is ridiculous! I place an order online to get it *on time* and so I don't have to come in to order and to wait! TOTAL FAIL! We will not be back due to poor service. When we dine out to places, the service is always our top priority and the food quality comes next.0 out of 5 for service!
Usually good service but today was terrible, dirty dishes on all the tables. Long waits with many tables open. Very short staffed. Our waitress Kyla should think about her service. Calling customers b*tches because they don’t tip is not acceptable.

The pizza was really good. Just kinda irritated we had to flag down our waitor to give us plates to eat off of. I understand it is pizza but still plates should be a given.
Amazing pizza, price was high only because I drank quite a few beers. I got the Hot Hawaiian and definitely recommend it. Small is a decent size for 1 person if you're not wanting leftovers.
