Visited this cute establishment on a hot summer day and it was exactly what we needed! Good selection of ice cream flavours and milkshakes! Definitely recommend.
I heard that Big Dipper was the same owner as my favorite ice cream shop back in Seattle so I had to try. I was not disappointed! On a gorgeous, warm summer evening the line was out the door but the staff moved quickly and the ice cream was well worth the short wait.

Tasty, crowded always. Almost entirely staffed by young women. I have never seen a business consistently be run only by one gender/age group. Not like it matters at all, just something I noticed. It's an ice cream shop.
Vegan options! Everything looked so good, and the mango vegan ice cream is absolutely delicious. Many gluten free options as well.
Went there on vacation and ate downtown both nights. Stopped in for ice cream twice! Loved the milkshakes! So amazing! I dreamed about them and had to go back for more!
There’s a reason they call it Big Dipper and it’s not just for the long line; the flavors are big! If you show up and there’s a line just wait. There are plenty of good flavors to order. Order and come back if you want to try them all. A must stop if you like ice cream!
Great place for ice cream! There is Xtra seating upstairs. I got Vanilla and Huckleberry on a homemade waffle cone. Very affordable. They let you try the icecream!
Love their black licorice ice cream. Sundaes are really good with their salted caramel ice cream. One of our favorite places in Helena!
