My family was on a road trip back February 2022, we were looking for a place for dinner. We pulled up the menu online, and thought the name and pictures looked good. When we arrived, the place was very cute, but the menu online was significantly out of date. No Problem. We proceeded to order, but the food was horrible, worst by far that we had the entire road trip.
Bert & Ernie’s was the greatest tonight! We were there with a large group of 10 and everyone found multiple items that looked yummy. Portions were generous and delicious! Mike took such great care of us and we’ll be back again for sure.
The atmosphere is comfortable; however, the food quality has been up/down. Recently, we learned that you need to pay EXTRA for lettuce, tomato and pickles for an already pricey and certainly not the best cheeseburger- never seen this before in any of my travels. We won't be coming back.

We stopped in on a whim for lunch, based on the convenient downtown location, and we were so happy we did! We had a couple of local drafts- I really recommend the Moose Drool- and then ordered salads and sandwiches. The California BLT was a hit. The restaurant decor was kinda eclectic but in a fun way, and the service was so friendly and prompt. I wish we were locals- this would be a frequent spot for us if so.
Great experience overall. Very nice server. Food was really good. I like the atmosphere with the antiques and sports. I would definitely recommend dining at Bert and Ernie's. All are oders including the soup were yummy. I was even impressed by the cleanliness of the building and restroom. The old tome local pictures on wall are very cool.
Good atmosphere. Very interesting to see inside. The restaurant was clean. The food was good. Prices were average for lunch. The server was pleasant and polite. She checked back several times to make sure we were doing fine.
Service was horrible ☹We were there with a group for a 50th class reunion and last to arrive it took more then 20 minutes for the wait staff to even acknowledge us and bring menus, the waitress behaved as if we were a inconvenience. unplesent and difficult to deal with. I could go on but I'll stop there.
I don’t get to try new restaurants in Helena often so when I do it’s fun and exciting. I probably won’t go back to this restaurant. The people were kind, but my family wouldn’t say it’s something we’d like to eat again.
For as expensive as it was, it was not that appetizing. The Mac and cheese with shrimp wasn’t even shelled. My walleye sandwich had plastic line in it, and the fries were burnt. And the Brussels sprouts were not as advertised on the menu. Nobody brought a drink menu out for us and the service was slow. Our waiter was nice but altogether the entire experience left a lot to be desired. I mean come on you get to use this name and you’re going to serve a mediocre menu.
