Not friendly, not accommodating, incredibly rude and unprofessional. Definitely don’t come here if you have any dietary restrictions - there’s menu secrets they don’t tell you and then try and gaslight and belittle you.
This joint is one of my favorite places to eat in Montana. Throughout all of its locations in Montana, the menu, top to bottom, is delicious and fantastically consistent. For people with special dietary restrictions, they have dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegetarian options. Beyond the pizza, the flatbreads and the salads are top-notch as well. While it can get a little pricey, this is one of the first places that my family thinks of when we have special occasions. Would absolutely recommend!
Waitress had a lot to be desired in the customer service area! Ordered pizza with mushrooms on half … came on all of it. She hardly had any eye contact with us! I totally understand being short staffed but she acted like she didn’t want to be there! When she brought our salad she didn’t even stop . She placed it on the table as she was walking by! Same for the pizza! So no time to tell her mushrooms were all over it. Food was very good as was the ambiance but need better customer service.
As a minority, we try not to eat out as we are afraid of how people would treat out. Tonight ,we went to Mckenzie and were seated outside by ourselves in the cold windy afternoon. As for the food,, we did not se anything special. Too expensive ...but i guess everybody has to make money one way or another We won't be going back
My pet peeve is service staff who refuse to carry a pad and write down our orders. This happened at MacKenzie River. Three of us, three orders. Two were wrong. Mine was completely wrong, I ordered Baked Ziti and got chicken alfredo. My nephew got the wrong sized pizza. I don't like to bitch at restaurants, so we ate it (I didn't even figure out I had the wrong thing until I was partway done, because I had never eaten either item here before). Nice to spend fifty bucks for lunch, and not be able to get what you ordered.
Had to lower my star-rating from 3 years ago. Recently came in and ordered the Tuscan Penne and my wife ordered the boneless wings. Deviating from the pizza and beer is a BAD DECISION. The prosciutto in the pasta looked old and the overall quality of the dish didnt taste good. The boneless chicken wings had a weird, soft consistency. Like they might have been old and then microwaved. I'll probably be back for the delicious pizza and good customer service. However, I will not be venturing into the other parts of the menu, as I've learned my lesson. Pics for consideration.
We were coming from out of state and the first place MULTIPLE people told us to go eat was MacKenzie River Pizza Co. It did not disappointment. We went there to break our fast for Ramadan, and while we were waiting to be seated, the hostess brought us over drinks in the sitting area. I had never had that offered to me before and it was very appreciated! She was also perhaps the friendliest person we've ever encountered. Once we got seated, our waitress was also very friendly & attentive. Our appetizers came quickly and were great, the pizza was amazing & HUGE, the environment was clean and welcoming. Over all, excellent experience. We also downloaded their app for future deals because we'll definitely be coming back.
The pasta dishes are not very good and not worth the money. Their pizza is great. But if you carry out they seem to keep moving your order to the bottom of the list. One time I was told 45 minutes. I showed up at 45 minutes and waited a full hour more. While watching people come and then go that were dining in. I would not get carry out from them again.
Love the pizza, salads breadsticks and great wine list
Ordered this for lunch for the first time To go and when i went to pick it up and got my food ill be honest i didn’t check it immediately but i did check it before i drove anywhere and this is what the flat bread looked like when it was handed to me. The food however was really good but i just thought it was odd they would hand it out like that. I would probably eat here again though.
