Excellent menu, wide selection of expense level from $12 to $60 a plate, all that we tried were very nicely prepared and presented. Very nice beer list, full bar, narrow but good list of mixed drink options. Bison fillet was amazing, expensive, but damn, I'd do it again! Appetizer list is creative and very good, you will be happy! Like most places they struggle with attentive service because all staff are stretched thin, but when they are with you they are on point! It won't be quick, but it'll be very very good!Enjoy! ??
Tanglewood is by far my husband and I's favorite restaurant in Bozeman. The drinks and food are superb (pretty much the best steak we have ever had). Staff is always wonderful and atmosphere is great. This is also our favorite place to celebrate our Big life moments, such as our proposal and day after wedding dinner most recently. We absolutely LOVE Tanglewood and look forward to many more delicious dinners there.
We met one of the chefs nearby on a hiking trail. He gave us a great impression of the restaurant so we decided to check it out. The food was really incredible and we really enjoyed our drinks as well. The area is really nice and convenient in Bozeman. Hoping to make it back in next time I travel through the town.
Friends and I have been coming here for happy hour for years. We love it. Unfortunately, it has gone down hill. Our server was extremely rude, asked us when we were going to leave and charged us regular prices on happy hour prices.
Myself and the family stopped in last Sunday for brunch and it was totally worth it. My daughter ordered the honey dunked beignets and they were so good we ordered a second round. In retrospect that seems a little glutinous…but I’d do it again. For breakfast we had huevos rancheros, crab cake Benedict and sourdough waffles. I sampled everyone’s and everything was delicious. Can’t wait to go back.
I cannot say enough about our lovely waitress, but I unfortunately did not get her name she was wonderful very friendly very attentive. There was a group of 10 of us for graduation the building itself is beautiful rustic. They made accommodations to seat us all together which it first wasn't going to happen. The cauliflower appetizer was amazing it was very delicious it was a spicy kind of grilled cauliflowers, really tasty. Coming from New Hampshire after flying all day I was so looking forward to a Montana Steak... Unfortunately this is where they lost the star my steak was tough rubbery and not cooked very well and my mashed potatoes were dry and lumpy. The side salad had a nice citrus vinaigrette that was very tasty. I will say that they did send me out another portion of steak but by that time it was too late in the night to eat it and they did comp us half my meal.Would I eat here again....maybe.
Atmosphere is laid back, service is perfect (bartender is hot!), food is superb! 10 out of 10!
Beautiful restaurant! Incredibly friendly and attentive staff. The food was just ok, though. The fried mushroom appetizer was good, but felt really heavy with oil as though it wasn’t cooked at a high enough temperature. So it was more oily than crispy. The flavor of the sauce was nice, though. Everything else was… ok. The medium rare filet we ordered came out well done. Twice. The very polite, accommodating and professional manager apologized and took that item off the bill. The food was 3 stars, but the hard working staff brings it up to 4.
Went to dinner with friends. The space is great. The service was absolutely excellent. The wine flights are a must. The general tso califlower was amazing. The food was generally average. I had the pasta Bolognese, it was absolutely unremarkable. My wife had chicken, which was great if the only flavor you like is curry. The general consensus was that food was acceptable but not impressive.
Happened upon this eatery by random cruising the street of Bozeman after arrival. When the family was requesting a fast food chain I decided to stop here to see what this palace offered. It was at an early dinner hour. An exuberant & well spoken waiter explained what he recommended. We decided on various appetizers of roasted & fried vegetables which were tasteful. Since the portions of each were plentiful we decided to order one T bone steak to share. It was prepared exactly as we expected. The chocolate mousse was a nice dessert to end our evening there. Prices weren't inexpensive. Since we still had mountain driving to do we didn't order any alcoholic drinks that this place appears to be known for.
