Sushi was excellent and the service was great too. Only serving beer and wine fyi. Ordered nigiri combo, hamachi maki roll and spicy yellowtail. Excellent. Good GF options as well.

The food is absolutely delicious! Best sushi and I’ve ever had! If you go I high recommend getting the New Zealand salmon nigiri. Everything we tried here was great.

Great sushi and amazing staff! Our waitress Mel was wonderful! We will be back. The perfect Mother’s Day!

We had the bast time and the Sushi was exceptional. It wa a surprise. Great vibe, fun wait staff, thanks for a great Sunday night. HAMACH LOVE!

Had a great time at Dave's. The sushi is amazing and well worth the price. Best sushi I've had to this day. The sushi chefs know what they're doing, chef's choice is always a good way to go. Amazing atmosphere and our server Matthew provided awesome service. 10/10 reccomend. I'm happy they enclosed what use to be their outdoor seating.

On the drive to Bozeman from the airport, highway billboards proclaim that Dave's sushi is the best in Montana - a message that stuck days later when someone proposed sushi for dinner. Wow was that billboard right! Surprised and delighted at every course, we enjoyed many rolls, the fried collar, and a bowl of churashi. Quality through and through. Highly recommended and will definitely be back. Significantly better sushi than most everything in its price tier.

The sushi rolls are very inventive, not your typical combinations. What is unusual is that the the 6 sushi chefs are able to get 10 slices per roll vs the typical 8. This makes them much easier to eat. I was very impressed with the knife skills exhibited by each of the 6 sushi chefs. I have never seen a place that had so many working at one time. This means that they are able to produce lots of rolls in a short amount of time. I asked where they had acquired their knife skills and was told that they are trained in house. They all looked like college students or recent grads from culinary school. The restaurant is very popular.

Wow!! What a wonderful hidden local gem! The wait is definitely worth it. Great service and wonderful, fresh sushi. We sat at the sushi bar and admired the knife work of the sushi chefs. Had a great time.

As if Dave’s needs another 5 star review…. To start off, we love this place. I’ve been coming here maybe every other month for the last 8 years, if not more. Often enough that it’s not uncommon for the staff recognize us! The food is just amazing — we always get edamame, two canned Sapporo’s, and a bunch of rolls. She gets salmon sashimi, a John Wayne, and two other rolls; I get a Christmas Showers (arguably the best single roll ever) and 3 other rolls. The per-roll price has gone up quite a bit since we started eating here, but the quality has remained the same or gone up the whole time. I understand why it’s getting more expensive, I just wish it didn’t have to be that way.The specials are always something really interesting — recently they’ve had Uni, which is not common in Montana. They serve it on crispy rice squares, which is fantastic. They also always have good stuff for people that aren’t fond of fish. Their ramen and other noodles are amazing. Not what I usually get, but it’s pretty neat of them to make that to the same very high standards as the rest of their food.I want to say that between my SO and I we’ve had everything on the menu so long as it doesn’t have Escolar. Only because of this weird not-so-fun fact about eating Escolar steaks that we’d prefer to never ever confirm first hand. It not unsafe to eat or unsanitary or anything, it just disagrees with some peoples’ stomachs

what isn't to love? great staff! generous cuts of fish. unique and varied rolls. the best salmon sashimi I have had anywhere.
