Just finished up our meal and I had to leave a review. My wife and I really enjoyed our meals. I had the biscuits and gravy and they were great. We live in the south so I'm pretty picky when it comes to biscuits and gravy. We also got a side of the banana bread french toast which was amazing. Highly recommend stopping in for breakfast
I was here some years ago when I visited Lamar Valley Yellowstone, and I had the best corn beef and cabbage. Unfortunately this time around it's not on the menu anymore, but their brunch menu is equally impressive, and worth waiting in line for. Cornbread to go for my flight ?Friendly staff, good service.
One of the things I like about Bozeman is it it has so many fantastic restaurants. And the Cateye is one that I go to every single time I’m in town, and usually every single day that I am in town. If you want to know what kind of breakfast they have I can tell you it’s the best in the west. It’s tempting to just eat off the menu but I will tell you that their daily specials will make you want to ride at dawn.
Best Breakfast in town. Service is always great. They treat us like family… the Hot Turkey is like thanksgiving dinner every Tuesday morning.
Great little cafe for lunch in downtown Bozeman! We found this cafe quite by accident which made it a fun find. It reminded us of cafes in downtown Lawrence, KS which is also a college town (University of KS). The staff was friendly and the food was delicious!
My daughter and I love this place! Kevin and the family create good food and a friendly atmosphere...with giant mimosas. What else could you want?
Hands down best biscuits and gravy here to Oregon, and a few other states! The biscuits are hand made and always the perfect fluff! Like a kitty! NomnomnomnomnomMust try their banana bread French toast as well! Yummmm
Full disclosure- We are a family of Crazy Cat People so my review may be slightly biased! On our last day in Montana, we decided we would eat breakfast at the Cateye Cafe before heading to the Bozeman airport. It was definitely worth the stop. We loved the eclectic style and feline decor. Bathrooms are called Litter Boxes for instance. Everything was clean and cozy, it reminded me of a cluttered eccentric grandmother's kitchen and dining room. We got there around 9am and were seated right away. By the time we finished up, there was a few groups waiting for tables, so this place is popular! So now to the food, because while atmosphere is nice, I'm all about the food! Everything we ordered looked like someone's grandmother whipped it up. Huge sausage patties- the kind that look hand pattied, not some prepackaged mass produced patties. I got the banana bread French toast thinking it would be one or two of the quarter-inch thick slices of banana bread like you see in the grocery stores. Nope, it was a 3 inch thick brick of French toast that was moist and melted in my mouth. The hashbrowns were large chunks of red potatoes and finely shredded onions. Everything our party of 4 ate was great. Service was fast, efficient and priced at reasonable rates compared to other places we ate in Montana. And the food was better than anywhere else we ate in Montana. I would definitely eat there again. I even bought the T-shirt.
I honestly hesitated on writing a bad review because I actually really like the food here but I’ve had two bad experiences with the service so I’ve decided I won’t be going back. My first experience was with my friend who was not done with his food and our waitress just swooped by and grabbed his plate without even asking if he was done. The second time was more recent, my friend and I finished eating but we still had our mimosas and the waitress came up to us and said “ok ladies there are hungry people waiting” causing us both to feel uncomfortable and we had to chug our half full drinks (which we paid good money for), when we looked at the time we realized we had only been sitting down for 50 minutes and she waited until she had already taken our 22% tip to be rude
Loved the ambience, and personal attention to detail by staff. Most original flavorful recipes we had on our trip. Looking forward to going again.
