Burger Bob's has such great service, very good service, attentive but not overbearing. The selection of food especially burgers are good. You can make it your way. The meat is high quality and generous. There is choice of tots, wafffle fries or french fries. I had the swiss mushroom burger with onion rings. Choosing the combo option adds a drink and side choice. The other plus you get a condiment rack that has a bottle each of barbeque sauce, mustard, ketchup, mayo and ranch. No paying extra for sides of ranch. It is decorated with MSU memorabilia. The restroom is very clean. It gets busy during lunch rush, but worth it. Bob's does have a lunch menu with a nice selection of lunch portioned food.
An old favourite though not as good as i remember the burger. The patties were thin and impossible to cook them to rare. I remember it being a thick juicy perfectly seared red patty. The bun is still delish. The cheeses were unmelted which was weird, but generous portion. The waffle fries were excellent though much smaller portion. The beer is good and the atmosphere is warm and lively, even though the music system is bunk, keeps cutting out. I'll be back.
We went to Burger Bob’s late, about 45 minutes before closing. The service was pleasant, but slow. The burgers were really good! Great onion rings also! Give it a try if you’re looking for a good burger.
Love the atmosphere, sat at the counter (busy), but not loud. VERY Good burger, not exceptional. Loved the onion rings. Shakes were good - very good, but not so amazing as recommended by a local (our good friend).
Had lunch here and ordered the sliders and waffle fries, delicious! Would recommend as a stop for quick bites during a stroll through downtown
When we arrived at the restaurant, almost every single table was dirty. We then proceeded to seat ourselves and wait ten minutes for the waitress to come over to greet us. When we were finished with our food and clearly had our credit card on the table to pay, we waited 20 minutes for the waitress to even notice. This was at 5pm and it was fairly slow during this whole period. During this waiting period, we watched other waitresses clear tables, but clearly not wipe them down. Food was good but extremely horrible service and unsanitary conditions.
Sat down and took 30 minutes to get a menu, another hour and a half to get the food. I ordered an Oreo shake and got a peanut butter shake after telling the waitress I was allergic to peanuts. The food was decent but extremely over priced. We could also hear them talking about how rude it was to order milkshakes for the table, after it took them 20 minutes to make us the wrong milkshakes and 2 minutes to make the right ones after almost killing me.
Stopped in for lunch n had the mango n sweet wings very tasty but they were not served hot I was running late so I didn't send them back apart from that the flavors were very good
I will not be back to this restaurant. As their food and menu are very general and nothing spectacular, they charged me a "checking out fee'. That means they charged me, to pay for my meal. I will never be back. What a joke. This is greed at its best. If you're looking for a great burger place, this is not it. I would suggest U Burger on College.
The food and service was ok, nothing special but fairly priced. What really got me was the surprise check out fee added to the bill/my credit card. Just morally opposed to restaurants conducting business this way. I am sure it was mentioned somewhere in the fine print.
