Outstanding service from everyone on the staff! It’s so unusual to get that kind of personal attention now. It was our anniversary and they gave us a card hand signed by the entire staff and sat us at a quiet table as we requested. The food was excellent (if in doubt the meatloaf is always fantastic), and the service was perfect and memorable! Thanks Walkers for remembering how it’s supposed to be done! We will be back soon!
I lived in Austin for 6 years. It’s known to be a “foodie” place. Walker’s offered one of the best meals I’ve had, even after living in a place with a renowned food scene. So good. Also, Katie was so personable and really made our meal great.
The food was decent but it was holy expensive!! My chicken had a bone in it which the 3 of us who ordered that chicken thought it was weird… my ceaser side salad was $9.50 holy moly for they price I could have gotten 3 bags of salad ? and made an even better salad. Had a table of 7 people and the bill was over $500 dollars. Only go if you’re a high roller & even the portions are a little small.
Saturday evening around 5:30 pm.. bar seating only, no problem.. got menus and ordered drinks- 15 min for a simple drink and after the next 20 min without any further interaction from either of the bartenders, decided they didn't think we needed food at all. Menu has been drastically reduced, not the prices however, and service is all but forgotten. What happened Walkers? You used to be amazing.
Had a special, asparagus pasta.Jessica was a great server.Great atmosphere.Salad was great.Small pasta serving was more than enough.
I was in town for work and one of my coworkers is from Billings and he raved about the Pork Shank at Walkers. 5 of us went to dinner and all 5 got the Pork Shank. The hype is real. Probably one of the best meals any of us have had. A different coworker is married to a chef and he said it was better than anything she's ever made for him. He's planning a trip just as a dinner date. Chef Nick Steen came out to chat with us and it was the topper to a life changing meal.
We came in on a Sunday night and sat in the bar. Live music was playing. We ordered family style. The Brussel Sprouts and beet salad were exceptional along with the cocktails. However the Walkers meatloaf was very average and the fish special was dried out and rice noodles were undercooked. The bourbon pasta was prepared as described. Brownie dessert was a bit dry and way oversized. Service was good along with the band.
We ordered small plates and they were the size of a normal meal. 3 small plates were more than enough for 2 people. The chicken wings were totally amazing. Nice and spicy with complex flavor. The cauliflower soup was outstanding and complex, surprising flavor combinations. The brussels sprouts were fantastic as well. They had a live band and we did some swing dancing, had a great time. Cocktails were very well done with creative flavors and not overly sweet.
The steamed mussels were fantastic. Zane was our bartender and did amazing as well. Between the bar staff our drinks were never empty.
One of my favorite restaurants in Billings. Great staff. Amazing food and cocktails
