Hibachi experience was great! Lots of laughs with the cook and attentive server.
Food was very delicious and an excellent price for the filet mignon and scallops. We did hibachi. The steak was supposed to be cooked medium but was definitely rare. Some pieces were even blue (completely raw in the center and colder). I know it is technically safe to eat, but in the future will ensure the steak is cooked a little more.
I am very disappointed that they hired someone that is so disrespectful and rude to be the first person you encounter when you enter the establishment. It started that I called to make a reservation and I was told there were no reservations for the time I was asking for. So I asked what the earliest time they had was. All I got was a thanks and the call was ended. Okay maybe she didn’t hear me and it was a mistake. We decided to just go and wait. When we walked in the lady behind the register just stared at me. I smiled at her and said hello. Her response was No smile, no welcome to Umi’s. Nothing. If she had been helping a customer or been on the phone I would understand. I walked up to the counter and I said hello for the second time. With an extreme attitude right off the bat I get a what can I do for you. I tell her how many and ask for hibachi trying to ignore the attitude still. She snaps back with it will be an hour and half to 2 hour wait but it will be closer to the 2 hour mark. The wait was absolutely not the problem. The problem was 100% this girl’s attitude. There was absolutely no reason to treat me or any other customer like that especially when all I had done wrong was walk through the door. I am a patient understanding person and it takes a lot for me to get upset. With her response I informed her and my group that we would not be staying to eat where we are not welcome. We walked out and I decided to go back in and ask to speak to the manager to hopefully prevent this girls awful attitude and customer service from ruining anyone else’s experience. While I was speaking to him the girl was standing there smiling and smirking the entire time. He told me he would handle it. Not sure if or how it was handled.
Tiniest portions I've ever seen in any sushi restaurant! Two itty-bitty boxes of sushi for takeout were total cost of $55. Never tried Umi restaurant before and I doubt I will come back.. Just not worth the price
The chef was awesome and funny. The food was terrific. The atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable.
Really good. Friendly and entertaining staff. Food was cooked perfectly. If you like Kobe steakhouse in Great Falls this is the same and much better than the Kobe in Butte. Also check out the designs and lighting on the exhaust fans above grills, whomever designed it did a terrific job!!
Food was good and service was great. Took good care of our large party. Food came out slow and by time last person received food almost everyone was done eating. Would try again with smaller group.
Great food and great service
My last 4 visits have been horrendous. The family decided to come for my birthday anyway.Best. Decision. Ever.Eden was sweet and attentive.David brought my teen to tears with that beautiful salmon (that kid is a foodie)! Not one thing was burnt (as it has been the last many times we've eaten here). My food was perfect! Super tasty! Worth every penny!Thank you for stepping it back up!The only issue is the nightmare that is the bathrooms. Those do need more attention.
