It has been over 10 years since I have been to MacKenzie (because I just don't get near one) and my husband had never been to one ever. He is not one to try a new place but it was my turn to chose.We were greeted by a very pleasant guy and served by a very good waitress. I pointed out the Ruben since it's one of my husbands favorite things but he has never found a good one in Montana so was a little nervous about ordering.This is the FIRST time in years, where he raved about the Ruben, it had just the right amount of thinly sliced corned beef and toppings. You not only made his day but mine, will be back!!!!
You know, I love MacKenzie pizza, I really do. But if you have it delivered from anywhere it will be wrong. I have ordered it 2x and the order has been wrong 2x. This last time was the breaking point. Never will I go to this establishment again. I ordered a Thai pizza, I always ck my order and I got a Thai salad? WOW! The Pizza I ordered my husband was a thin crust pepperoni and it was soggy. I just can't do it with them anymore. Doordash lady was great. She (Jennifer) was polite and had great CS. I just am finished with MacKenzie River. Never will wr use them again. I will tell my friends and family. This place has gone down hill.
This was the second time we were highly disappointed. Came with company since that is where they wanted to go. After a short wait, the waitress brought our drinks, but left before we could order. We did not see her for a long time and the next time we saw her she was getting drinks and taking orders from two other four top tables that had just come in. We sat and waited 35 mins before we threw money on the table for our drinks and left. I would not recommend unless you have lots of time to waste.
My expectations are normally pretty high for pizza places, but I think I finally found my new favorite pizza in Billings. I often find that the crust on many pizzas are either too dry or too moist, normally due to the amount of grease applied to the pan. Upon my first bite, I felt that I had just had an out of body experience. Every single aspect of it was fantastic. The crust perfectly soft and moist, the cheese was a great mix and perfectly cooked and the sauce was delicious and they didn't skimp out on it either. It's also the only time that it's almost as good reheated as it is fresh out of the oven. I must also highly recommend the Huckleberry Lemonade that MacKenzie River has. It's truly exceptional.
Thought we would try it again,since our last experience was great. Waiter might have been new,but gave us food without plates,didnt know we were supposed to ask? I guess that costs extra these days. My expectations might be a wee high. My wife asked him a couple of questions about the menu, I think that was the first time that he read it. I get that finding help is hard,but if you want customers to keep coming back,just a thought. Thank you!
Just left after a disappointing visit. This place used to be on our "must visit" list. It is now off our list for anything but takeout pizza. We were seated immediately and ordered right away for a great start. The food took a very long time to arrive.The Ruben had plenty of sliced corned beef was all piled in the middle of the bread and the rest was bare bread. The other ingredients were sparse. In addition the fries were cool to the touch. The salad used to be her favorite. This salad bore no resemblance to the previous visit nor to the description.Overall this restaurant effective chased our two families away.
The food was good. We get takeout from here pretty regularly as my aunt is often too sick to travel to the restaurant. I was disappointed this time however, as they forgot multiple parts of my order....dressings for salads, extra meat, etc. I didn't notice until I got back home, and when I drove back to collect the missing items it took forever to receive them. Just not one of the better experiences we have had recently, but the food was tasty as ever.
We tried the roasted Brussel sprouts. It was a gamble, but they were very tasty! Split a Flatbread and Thursday's special is 20% off all flat flatbreads.
I used to work here. It was a blast! Honestly, it's clean, ran well, and not that I'm a huge fan of pizza, yet their cheesesticks and ranch are amazing!!! I ate them every night I worked probably.
Excellent food. The pizza is greatThe lodgepoles are awesome.. The staff at any is always great.
