The food here is some of the best in town, and the ever changing menu keeps things fresh and new every time we visit! I have been here several times for date night, or a double date with friends and have never been disappointed. If you're on the west end and want a great dining experience, this is the place to be. The prices are higher, but I think the quality justifies it.
We were visiting Zimmerman trail and Googled "best restaurant near me" and decided to give this place a try after the great reviews. We got there at 6.30pm and it was pretty empty but the patio filled up fast. Oh what to say - the food was amazing! Best I've had in a long time. We had the Buffalo short ribs, the daily special salad and pizza for the kids. Crack pie as desert. All was delicious! Bonus points as they had Stiegl Grapefruit Radler which was perfect on this hot summer evening.

Local is our go-to for a consistent fabulous lunch. Service is fast and always friendly. I was at Local for lunch when Bethany Olson (previous review) was eating lunch with her family. Her husband threw a fit and went behind the service line because he was tired of waiting and tried to grab his food off the line. The wife (Bethany, if that’s a real account) left the restaurant out of embarrassment, and the husband ended up apologizing to the server for his ridiculous and embarrassing behavior. So sad. Don’t let her review deter you from our very favorite lunch/dinner spot. Consistent delicious food served quickly in a friendly neighborhood atmosphere. The absolute definition of Local!
Wow what a find! We got there right when they opened and glad we did as it got busy very quickly. We had delicious sandwiches and hand cut fries, but everything on the menu looked amazing.
Our favorite restaurant in Billings! We visited 4 years ago and had a great experience so decided to return. So glad we did! Excellent service, terrific menu and nice ambiance. Buffalo short ribs were excellent! Salmon cooked perfectly and dessert was to die for. Can’t wait to go back. Next time in Billings for sure.
It was really tight seating so it was difficult for my grandma's walker and my service dog to fit, but the food was amazing and the service was super nice and helpful. Overall I will be going back again! But I definitely recommend calling ahead or making a reservation.
Was served a raw burger twice. I ate a few fries. That was enough to refund the rotten burger, but be charged for the fries. Pretty sleazy deal. Decided not to cause a scene. Unfortunately ruined my evening. Oh well... now know people who won't go back.

I thoroughly enjoyed last Sunday:s brunch at The Local is, in a two words -- exceptionally poplar. We were fortunate. We reserved our table two days beforehand. We arrived at 10 AM and every table was occupied. The Local is that good. I will recommend The Local to Anton looking for it's menu, service, and inviting atmosphere.
