It was a decent meal. The service was okay, no wait for a table or for food. The food was okay fried rice was literally fried white rice no egg or veggies. I received general Tso’s chicken usually it has veggies this did not , which isn’t a big deal at all. The bbq chicken was served cold which had good flavor but it was overall mediocre at best .
It's not the nicest or high end type of place like some other restaurants around Billings. But if your within walking distance like me, it's worth 5 stars in my opinion. They have a huge menu and it's fairly quick. You don't get the overwhelming barrage of noise like other places. It's a calm environment and it's been the same workers every time. Food is decent, but expensive. Comes in really good portions though. Highly recommend if you are wanting to do a quick restaurant trip with the kids.
Food was pretty good but kinda on the pricey side. I'm not sure if our waiter was having a bad day or if he didn't want to serve us as he was slamming our drinks and plates on our table. When we asked for some sodas he told us he has food to put out and then walked away. Again, not sure if it was a bad day but not very good service in my opinion. I would rather go somewhere else next time.
I love coming here for the buffet. Have never been disappointed here and staff is all very kind and attentive! You always get your money's worth.
Service was great and the food was excellent. I got the mixed vegetables (can't remember what it was called for sure). Generous portions. Come here often.
Went for dinner last night and was slightly surprised that it was so quiet in there (New Years Eve and all). There were only 2 other tables. The service was very slow, although the waitress was very nice. It took probably 15 minutes just for her to come over and take our order. Then 15 minutes for our soup to come out. They only had enough hot and sour soup for 2 bowls so I said I would take the dumpling soup...that took another 15 minutes. My husband, son and our friend ordered sushi as an appetizer...they didn't make my husband's, so that was another 10 minutes waiting for that. Food finally came out, an hour after we ordered it. We ate and it wasn't the greatest. Very unflavored. Boxed up our leftovers and headed home. All 3 who ordered sushi were puking within 2 hours of leaving there. We used to enjoy eating at Golden Phoenix but will definitely never be back.
Oh my God.... I have never given a one star. We had reservations for Christmas Eve. We got there and most of the staff was less than excited to see us.( Our waitress was amazing she was a true five star) our reservation was at 6:00. We arrived and were seated by 5:45. Many people arriving after us were seated, ordered ate and left before we got our food at 7:30. When we finally did get our food it was barely edible. Don't eat here!
My family and I have been ordering from here for a very long time. Every time the service has been good, the portions have been spot on and the food has been amazing. This year we decided to treat our entire family to this amazing place we love for Christmas. I called ahead of time and told the lady that I would be placing a very large order for Christmas. She had asked me to order early Christmas because they would be busy, no problem. Went to the restaurant the night before with our order printed in hand. I ordered what should have been a ridiculous amount of food to make sure everyone got fed well. Paid for our order the night before and even gave a 10%+ tip for the hassle even though we took care of our order early and picked it up ourselves. Christmas night my wife, daughter and mother in law went to pick up the food at the time we had scheduled. When the lady brought the food out, my wife new right away it didn't look correct. My wife began checking the order and the lady became upset and angry. Told my wife to move out of the way and to go check the order at a table. My wife was not down to deal with her anger, grabbed the food and left. When my wife arrived home, we unpacked everything. The portions they gave us were about half the normal amount we had gotten every time before. Two of the items we had ordered were not in the box the lady gave my wife. Every time we had ordered before we would get bonus items with our order depending on how much we spent. I called the lady and explained the issues we had with the order. The lady just started repeating over and over again that the reason for everything was because it is very busy and she kept saying she was sorry. She offered to make it for us and we could come pick it up or she would refund us for the two items. Considering we live 25 miles away from the restaurant, I chose to be refunded and be done with dealing with her. The food was amazing tasting as always. I have zero complaints in that category. The portions were complete b.s. and barely fed my family. I should get the same portions every time I order. Your restaurant being busy is a horrible excuse. I paid the same damn amount this time for each item as I had every time before. The lady treating my wife like trash because she wanted to check our order before she left is unacceptable. If anything when someone purchases from a place often, then purchases a big order and spends a huge chunk of money at your restaurant, you should treat that customer well. This I am pretty sure will bring that customer back and that customer will more than likely spread a good word to others about your restaurant. Instead the restaurant chose to handle the situation the way they did. Will we ever be back? Probably not. Did the restaurant gain more customers from the 20+ members of my family I treated with your food? Nope! Will I or anyone from my family spread the good word about how amazing your food is? Sadly again, nope. Will I and members of my family tell people how disrespectful your service was? We promise that we all will. For all your lack of hospitality, shorting us on our portions, and never having our entire order, I give you this review. Take care and Merry Christmas!
Worst Chinese food I've had in 62 years on Earth, no exaggeration. Badly flavor sauces, barely any broccoli OR beef in the Broccoli Beef dish (full of carrots, zucchini, celery, etc. instead). Very few cashews in the Cashew Chicken, which was also full of filler veggies. Egg rolls were like warm paste. Absolutely horrible. The people who like this place have obviously never had decent Chinese food. If you're going to go for it, you better get A LOT of soy sauce! Even now, I've got a terrible after taste in my mouth.
Ok, so they were really busy, I get that. But at 5:06, I placed an order for takeout through the web. They said it would be ready about 5:30. I showed up at 5:25. When I arrived, the hostess informed me that it would be another 15-20 minutes, which means they had not started preparing my order. No big deal, they're really busy. At 6, they finally brought out my order.I got home and unpackaged it to discover that they had given me the wrong order. I called and found them surprised because my order was still being prepared. I went back to the restaurant and picked up my order. Over an hour after I ordered. The food was fine. The takeout service was a little lacking. Again, they were very busy but I paid full price to go to the restaurant twice and wait over an hour for dinner. Disappointing.
