The food is absolutely delicious! And our waitress was very efficient, and friendly. This is a great place to get some really great BBQ. Wait until you taste their cornbread and mashed potatoes - you'll be thinking about, and craving them, within a couple of days!
Excellent service, endless lemonade, let's just say they don't wait for your glass to get empty. If you like good smoked beef brisket this is the place for you. A nice craft beer selection too.
Me and my family are visiting from Illinois and decided to have dinner here at Famous Dave's 2883 King Avenue in Billings Montana, we were seated at table 23 and were given menus. We had been seated for 15 minutes. they set another party behind us, when the server came our way he proceeded to the table that came in after we had been sitting for 15 minutes. That was not okay. Me and my Family left the Famous Dave's, and not one person who work there ask us was everything okay, or what happened. So unprofessional. If could give them zero stars that would be my ratings.
I visited Famous Dave’s in Billings, Montana. The host sat us at a table and said someone would be with us soon. We waited about 15-20 minutes. No one came to the table. Another party walked in, sat down and someone immediately walked to their table and began taking their order. I frequent Famous Daves near my home. Not this one, but the one close to my home. I have never had a problem like this and it didn’t help that we were the only African Americans in the place. I wish I could have given them 0 stars.
The service was great, our waitress was so nice. However the food was absolutely terrible. We spent over $60 to have the most disappointing food which I was not expecting. We love the famous Dave's chains and usually the food does not disappoint. My mashed potatoes were incredibly stale tasting. Our briskets were bland and tasted old and my corn on the Cobb was mushy. So disappointing.
I had a great time and the food was so good Especially the ribs and they cornbread they serve
The three star rating isn't because of the food, which is really good. What is at issue is how you are rushed through 1) picking a drink without even looking at the menu or knowing what drinks are available before you sit down 2) literally getting 3 minutes to decide on your order, and 3) being served by more than one waiter or waitress. Rushing people in and out of your establishment is not a good business model. I understand you want to make money, but you'd have better luck if you gave your customers a little more time to choose what they want and not be pestered to finish their meal. If you address these issues I will consider coming back inside, but for the time being I'm sticking with carryout.
I've been addicted to barbeque my entire life and I'm 69. When I'm away from home, I crave it and have never found any to compare with mine, but I found more than I asked for today at Famous Dave's! Nothing less than perfect! It was delicious and the atmosphere was the same!
Was unable to give zero stars. I dont know what Dave is famous for but it can't be BBQ. I'm from central Texas and wouldn't feed this "stuff" to my dog. First of all were is the smoke??? There was no smoke and no smoke smell so you have to ask, where is the smoke flavor from or how old is this meat??. Beans were full of sugar, cornbread full of sugar, asked for pickles and onions sugar sugar. I had the "Texas" brisket, that is not how we cook brisket. I think it was baked in the oven. Had a weird texture. The only thing that was good was the sweet tea, other than that yuck!!!!!!!!! Go to McDonald's or Wendy's just anywhere else.
We are driving through in our rv traveling from the west coast back to the east coast and thought some GOOD BBQ would be a great treat. But after eating here at Famous Dave’s we won’t be having BBQ again for a while!! Everything we had was way over cooked and SUPER DRY!! We can’t recommend this place due to it being the worst restaurant during our trip!! Very disappointed. The only good thing they had was the waitress and the corn muffins.Ps. If you’ve ever ate a good Brisket DO NOT order the brisket here it was the furthest thing from juicy and was 100 percent old and not fresh what so ever.
