Fabulous food and great service!
Best ribs I've ever had. Wife said the burnt ends were amazing and the brisket was good. BBQ sauces were fantastic and flavorful - a perfect match for the meat.However, the sides were all terrible. Green beans, beans, slaw and potato salad were all bad and we ended up just throwing them away. Just get the meat.
11:30 Mother’s Day so everything should be fresh. The chicken was dry as was the pork. Neither had flavor. The hot links tasted like they never saw smoke. Ribs had no flavor. Brisket literally had no smoke ring. None. Nada. Nil. Zip. Zilch. I’ve eaten at 400 bbq joints in 35 states and have had every major, and most minor, regional types. I have several comp quality smokers I use. I’m not a judge but I know good versus bad. This was well into the bad. Not food poisoning bad just completely flavorless and disappointing. I have shown the picture of the brisket to several friends and they couldn’t guess the meat after I told them it was noisier they asked me what I did wrong. I’ve had worse, much worse. I wouldn’t eat this stuff again if it were free. The sauce was good as were the green beans, real good. But the meat. It was horrible.
The BBQ here is in its own league! The service is fantastic (I've eaten here twice) ribs are delish and the brisket is amazing, cornbread, beans are phenomenal. I highly recommend this restaurant!
The food is good but I feel like I gotta get loan to eat here. It's nearly 20 bucks a person after you're all in. I can go eat at YaYas in Chesterfield for far less money and leave feeling full.I saw a ton of staff sitting around on their phones. Maybe if you got rid of one or two they wouldn't have so much time on their hands and you could make the food a bit more affordable for customers.
Excellent barbecue! The pulled pork sandwich was very tender and flavorful. Potato salad and green beans were very good and seasoned just right. My dining partner had ribs which looked perfect and he said that they were awesome. All staff were so friendly and eager to serve. Definitely will be back!
All of our food was cooked right. Smoke flavor, smoke ring, sides seasoned correct. Everything was the way you should receive it. Thanks Pappys
I have heard a lot about Pappy's Smokehouse. This is a new location in St. Peters. It was good, but not great. I ordered the brisket and it came shaved, like roast beef. I will say there Carolina sauce was probably the best I've had.
The food was really good and a great value for the price. The service was excellent they were very attentive and help us put some tables together for a party of 7 with some kids. We really appreciate the hospitality.
Good BBQ, sides were good, baked bean and potato salad. I like spicy sauce and their sauce was sort of spicy, but after finishing my meal I noticed a little glow on my lips and stomach. I really like the spicy sauce!
