We'd heard about Hobo's before, but this was our first time there. The place was busy, and noisy. The wait about 15 minutes, which wasn't very long for an early Sunday dinner. There were several people waiting as we left though. I had fried chicken, slaw and BBQ beans. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich. The chicken was great. My wife said her sandwich was a little dry.
There's never-ending gold available at Hobo's. I've been here half a dozen times in the last several years and my family and I are never disappointed. The food is always hot. The options are robust and filling and the atmosphere is always electric. the smoked chicken sandwich was the perfect, tasty part of today's lunch. My daughter had the tasty Fried Chicken Wrap. A couple of notes when heading to Hobos: Depending on the time of day, you're likely in for a wait and - like many other restaurants - they charge far too much for a fountain drink. Beyond that, you're GUARANTEED great food on your next stop, along with being able to take in a great piece of St. Charles' nostalgia. Great work, Hobo's as usual!
Hobos at the legion never fails to deliver with their hearty southern comfort food. One of the best fried chicken I've eaten. Today I tried the cheese steak wrap. 5 star all the way

Hobo's was recommended by a friend of ours and did not disappoint. Our server was very sweet. One of the cooks (Cap) came out and talked to us cause it was our 1st time there. Which was cool. And the food was amazing! They are famous for their fried chicken and catfish. And it shows. It was close to 2 pm at the end of lunch shift and the place was still packed!!! We will be going back for sure!
The food is phenomenal! Wow! Better be ready for a little wait time. They are always busy but well worth it. You will love this place! I love table sharing too. People are just plain happy there. Can't say enough good things! The fried chicken!!!!! Pork steaks!!! Catfish!!! Yum!!! Quality, hot, home cooked meals are hard to find these days at a restaurant. Its a must!
Had the Fried Chicken and it was delicious. The beer was ice cold and service sitting at the bar was great!
The waiting line was lining up both sides of the hallway to the back door. They kept it moving pretty fast. My wife got the fried chicken and I got a bacon hamburger pizza. Fried chicken was very good and the pieces were juicy and meaty. The pizza was also great and I took a lot home. We will definitely come back!
We love Hobo”s! They have a big menu and the food is wonderful. They have a great take out window, so that you don’t need to go inside for COVID! Easy and fast! We love to get catfish but I hear their fried chicken is the bomb as well! Enjoy supper!
