I ordered through Doordash. My pizza was tasty and I also ordered a great tasting salad. The salad was much larger than I anticipated, and I was glad that my personal pizza (I ordered a small) wasn't super huge. Great tasting pizza, this restaurant didn't skimp on the toppings or salad ingredients. They also provided taco sauce and sour cream for the salad, and that's definitely the way to eat their taco salad.
Made a 2nd try at Happy Joe's Pizza. It was almost 9:30 a.m. Had not been open but 30 minutes. I ordered a Little Joe size sausage pizza. But out of LJ size so I accepted change to small. And OMG!!! So good!!! I took it to go but once in car I had to eat a slice as the aroma was just too yummy to wait til I was home!!! It was hot, delicious with just the right amount of sausage and cheese. Did I mention that I love their crust?Walking in this morning I was greeted by both gentlemen that were working. So friendly and kind. I use a cane and on oxygen. They had me sit and look at a menu. The morning manager took my order and brought pizza out to my table when ready. We had a nice conversation. I had realized I had forgotten to order a drink and requested a water. However, when he brought the bottle over, he refused my money.A much nicer visit on this second time stopping in. I believe I'll be making a 3rd visit!!!‐--------------------------------------‐------------------------------I tried the buffet today. It was about 12:15 (linch time). Was pleasantly surprised to be told my drink came with the buffet. But when ordered cheese garlic bread I was told it would be 15 to 20 minutes. I thought I could eat from the buffet while waiting, but sadly it was practically empty but I took a couple of pieces. They were good, but cold. It took 10 minutes before 2 pizzas were brought out. By that time, so many people were waiting that they were quickly emptied too. I did manage to snag a couple of pieces. One was a taco pizza the other pepperoni. Both were good, but again for just being brought out they were rather on the cool side. The crust was delicious if you like slightly on thin side pizza crust. The salad bar section was rather dismal. The lettuce was shredded and turning brown. Noodles were in a tray, but also spread all over the area and also rather cold. Next to the noodles was a thick red sauce in 1 tray and what I think was an alfredo sauce in the other. It did take 15 minutes for my cheese garlic bread to arrive. Nicely plated, however, it appeared that garlic bread had been made and shredded cheese piled on top and the heat from the cooked bread allowed to melt the cheese. The bread itself was warm but the topping was much cooler. Most of the cheese wasn't melted. There is a small play area for kids. They can collect tickets from the games and use them to go to the toy corner to "purchase" items.Overall, I was disappointed this visit. I would have thought since Monday thru Friday they open at 9 a.m. that they would be a bit more organized for lunchtime than they were. When I first arrived they did not have many customers. So they had had a slower time inwhich the buffet should have been filled, cleaned up, and salad bar replenished.Might try a 2nd visit, but not at a peak time to see if better organized.
Long time fans of Happy Joe's and their iconic taco pizza are in for a great surprise! Finally, we have a second location in the area! It's brighter and bigger to host those family birthday parties! Come by the location in St.Peters. They won't disappoint! For folks who haven't had the pleasure, you should try Happy Joe's for your next family birthday party and/or one of their specialty pizzas! They are made to order and made to perfection!
I do wanted to like this place. Reusing an old McDonald's is great for the community, and a place that's kid-friendly is a plus also. But the food is so... Bad. Just bad. We had a meat lovers pizza and it was cut into slivers. Not slices. Slivers. My son is 10,so slivers weren't necessary. And there was enough oil on the pizza to run my car. The truffle oil doused tater tots were also less than appealing. My son loved the mini game room, though.
Our kids love coming here. It's a nice family spot. There are games for them and good pizza. Food always out timely and just as ordered. Very clean establishment. Definitely have to go on their family nights.. Monday and Tuesday get a large pizza and 4 drinks for about $22. Ice cream cones for them are also a steal @ .92 cents.
Tried 3 pizzas and they were all good. Bacon Chicken Ranch, Nacho Taco and Pepperoni. Good service and some games for the kids. Good old fashioned pizza place.
Great food, clean and great staff
Great service! The pizza had a crispy crust and was cheesy! This is going to be our go to pizza place! Must try!

Grew up eating Happy Joe’s Pizza in Iowa, and it is so great to have one close to home again. We love all their pizzas, but their Taco Pizzas and Omelet Pizzas are very unique and a must try. Every time we have been to this location since they opened, the pizzas were great. We have met both the owner and manager who were very nice.
