Low expectations for a hotel bar but extremely underwhelmed. We were sitting outside for about 20 minutes until we decided to order at the bar. We got our drinks immediately and decided to try outside one more time. The “server”, Jake, passed by us for about another 20 minutes when he finally decided we were worthy of menus. With both our drinks gone by this point and after another ten minutes, we walk in order more drinks at the bar and some food. The bartender, John, was really attentive, and food came out immediately. However, the food was subpar at best. We ordered potstickers and fried ravioli. It was as if we cooked it in our own air fryer. I recommend the cherry limeade drink, to go straight to the bar for service, and to hold off on eating.
The ambiance was great, but Jo made the visit spectacular. They were very insightful and provided great recommendations! Will be visiting again soon!
I guess all good things must come to an end at some point. We visited the UpBar a few times this past Fall and raved about the food. Well, my family and I went tonight and the menu has changed for the worst. I normally get the Everything Above so I can have a little bit of everything but everything was trash. I couldn't finish my food! The wings were gummy instead of crispy, the chicken and cheese on the nachos was minimum and bland, the ravioli contained some hard cheese no spinach, and the potstickers were eh. I feel like my soda was the best part. Sorry I wasted my money but lesson learned. The staff were ok and the view is nice but time to find a new spot. For the amount of money you spend, the quality of food should be better unless you're drunk. Some of the drinks look good... but good luck.
I’ve gone here twice, the views are great, love the physical space but the drinks are always lacking and just kinda meh. But the outdoor rooftop section is so beautiful and I love sitting out there even when it’s a little chilly.
This bar is higher in altitude than most. They serve alcoholic beverages, and also some food. The staff was friendly and service was quick. If you enjoy any of the aforementioned things, and do not have fear of heights or vertigo, would recommend.
One of these stars is for the view, the other is for the ambiance. The front of house staff was obviously very green and untrained. No management in sight. The bartender came and harassed us away from our table after calling last call 5 min beforehand. They closed at 11pm and before 11:05 I was already being told for the second time that I needed to leave because they were closed. Took the hint and didn’t finish my wine before I left. The bartender encouraged me to chug so I could leave faster. PS my husband has been a bartender for 15 years and I was a server for 6 years so we are well-informed on industry best practices and etiquette. Likely wont be back. I’ll only send tourists here.
The ambience is good. The bar food is a 2.5 out of 5 its not really that good. If the food was better the place would be better. The seating is awsome however im not sure the individuals that work there have a knowldge of what they are serving. Maybe additional traning should take place to make the service for the customers great.
Awful customer service. The shift manager cleared out table without giving us a heads up when we were outside on the terrace taking pictures. Wasted $60 worth of wine and cocktails. We politely tried to ask for an explanation and he ignores us. The waitresses were nice but couldn't do anything about it
This place is a super cute 21+ bar. I forgot to take pictures but the food menu was one sided. They have a appetizer sampler that’s enough for two and a drink platter that has four different flavors I didn’t too much care for the drinks but the food was great. I sat outside it wasn’t much to look at except the foundry and highway but I enjoyed it. They have outside heaters which are perfect because I get cold easily and those things were just the right temperature. The waitress could’ve been more attentive but it was a birthday party on the patio. I’d come back and I’d recommend.
Very nice, swanky hotel bar. Nice selection of specialty cocktails and lovely rooftop seating with a fire for cooler evenings.
