A solidly enjoyable experience.The only warning I'd give to new visitors: the music can get loud, so sensitive ears may want to bring ear plugs.That aside: the pizza servings are generous, the custom drinks are tasty, and the games are numerous and cheap to play! Good times.
Booze selection is fantastic and atmosphere seemed excellent. The games are cool, but a good percentage of them were out of order. Also had to wade through a fight just to leave the place. I would definitely come back, but I hesitate to recommend this place to others.I also would not recommend going on a busy night unless you plan on only drinking and watching 90's reruns on their patio.

Fun atmosphere. Up-Down is a chain, but has a very retro/nostalgic feel.There are a variety of games, and plenty of them, between the two levels. And the outdoor patio is cozy with fireplace tables & yard games.The drinks are cheap and they have pizza by the slice (which are HUGE). They are open during the day for those who would prefer a quieter experience, and also through late night hours for those out for the bar scene.
It was amazing to see all the retro games, even ones I haven't been able to play while enjoying great drinks. The atmosphere made it easy to have fun and just enjoy the time there. I was glad to be able to find somewhere that has a late night, fun place while I was traveling.
definitely great place for any gamer and nostalgic gamers alike in a perfect atmosphere with like minded individuals what more could you ask for. wait I know food and drinks, well no worries they got you covered and with deals on tokens you can game any day and have a great time with yor fam and friends. Stay about that gamer life dork and chill style, it's a good look indeed ????
Best barcade in STL. Drinks are not super expensive but also not necessarily cheap, but that’s fine because the games are all 25 cents, you’ll pay at least double that per game at startbar/parlor/D&B/two plumbers. 21+ so you don’t have to deal with kids while you’re drinking. Staff is super chill, friendly. I miss when they had giant jenna and connect 4 on the patio and when you could order individual slices of all the pizzas but I understand some things have to change with COVID. It can get very packed on the weekends sometimes and parking can be tricky but that’s to be expected for the location. Overall couldn’t reccomend it enough
If your a fan of the 80's & 90's, you will love this place. Need to return and try the pizza.
Up-Down STL is a funny arcade bar. They have a huge bar Infront when you walk in and a bar in the back room. They have a nice patio with gas heaters and TV's. It is an open air patio. They also have a downstairs area with arcade games as well and a small bar. Their is a food window that serves pizza and a few other items. It is a nice place. They do currently enforce wearing masks inside, but not on the patio.
