The place was packed but the service was wonderful and amazingly fast for how busy they were. The food was down right delicious and steak was done to perfection. Our servers were very sweet and very polite. She didn't miss a thing for all 12 of us and seemed to be right there when anyone needed anything. The man helping her bus was like some superhuman balancing 8 dirty plates on one arm and carrying 3 more with the other hand. Impressive! All around a great experience and a great time! Highly recommend! Don't let the full parking lot scare you off. These guys know what they're doing.
Service was fantastic and the food was great. Steak cooked perfectly and the grilled shrimp ... yum
We had lunch at Tuckers for our first visit and had a great meal. The restaurant has tons of character and the service was good. We started with salads and delicious bread and our entrees, Norwegian Salmon and marinated chicken breast were fabulous. The Salmon is the best I’ve had in a long time. The price was reasonable as well. We were told by friends in the area that this was the best restaurant and we certainly were not disappointed!
First time there and the food was great. One of the best porterhouse steaks I’ve ever had.
Went for dinner on a Saturday night with a group of 8. Waited 2 hours for a table, hung out in the bar area and finally got seated. Realized the 2 hr wait was definitely worth it. The steak (bone in ribeye) was very good, as well as the salad and baked potato. Service was very good, despite them being extremely busy. I recommend going early to beat the crowd!
Busy place always a St.Louis favorite for a great meal. So busy but service is very good prebus tables right on time with drinks and needs. The food is always enjoyable.
Sat at the bar, bartenders were very nice and paid attention to me in regards to drink refills, etc. Ordered Grilled Norwegian Salmon with steak fries and it was excellent! Salmon was perfectly cooked and hot. Only downside to my visit was some regulars at the bar being way too loud but that’s not the restaurants fault. Will come again!
Upside: Friendly staff, good menu, good service, nice decor, bar area, plenty of parking. Quick service, prices moderate.Downside: Prime was ordered medium and was closer to medium well. However, was very good.Comments: Smaller prime rib w/ two sides and two bloody mary drinks was $39. Would eat here again and would recommend. Review based on one dining experience.
I have eaten at Tuckers in Soulard and it was fairly priced and good food but I have to say-we ate there in December and they were packed! I had the salmon for the first time and it was cooked perfectly and seasoned with herbs and butter. My salad was crisp, the potato cooked fresh and the service was great! I cannot wait until next week to eat there again! We might have to eat there more than once so I can have my salmon and get my filet fix also!
I come to Tuckers all the time. My favorite place for my bone in Ribeye..Tonight I ordered my steak, salad, and potatoe. The bartender brought me my salad. I started to eat. Within 3 bites, my entree came out. I'm like what is this? I came even eat my salad first, now my steak will get cold. So I pushed my salad away, and the bartender asked if I was finished. I said well no, but if I don't eat my steak now it will be cold. The bartender had a attitude now.. I took a bite of sweet potatoe first. It was cool. Not even warm. I proceeded to cut into steak. It was medium. It was barely warm. Ive never ever had a steak thus rushed or cold out of the kitchen. There wasn't even steam off of my steak. Bartender asked me if it was OK. I said it's cold. Now I never complain about anything buit this was the worst steak I've ever had here. She wanted to take back to kitchen. I said no I'm already turned off. Now I have a cold steak and no meal after working a long day. What happened to Tuckers quality? My bill was $45 & some change. Without tip. Now I'm disgusted. As I went to leave, I asked hostess to speak with the manager. As he came to front, and he saw me. He immediately went into apologies over the rudeness of his bartender. He said he heard everything. It still didn't make up for the fact, I was still starting and wanted a hot meal. The only thing he wanted to do was offer me desert. Not a hot meal. I really couldn't believe that. Just wow.
