Someone needs to fund this woman into a real restraint. The food is UNREAL. The atmosphere is rough. We traveled with our Korean friends and our children to try this place and were blown away by the food. I can only imagine what she'd do in a restaurant with servers and fountain drinks.
The experience is really unique and the food is pretty good. Our order was taken quickly and took about 15 minutes for a party of 5 to receive our food (5 bibimbaps). The portions were a little small and some parts of the bibimbap were cold while others were warm. Otherwise, very cool place to visit in STL!
Got the bibimbap bowl with beef and both sauces. It was fantastic. I personally think the price is a little high but ultimately I don’t mind paying for quality and supporting a wonderful young female chef! I live across the street so I’ll be a regular!
This is a highly creative, unique experience. I enjoyed the kimchi pancakes to the max.The menu changes daily while always offering some staples.Very novel, fun place to stop by for delicious Korean-influenced dishes.
This place had been on my list for a quite a while! I got the rice bowl with tofu and chicken with the dragon sauce. It was really good, loved the kick that it had! Wish it had more rice to sop up all the sauce and juices though! My friends got tacos and they really enjoyed them. We would definitely come back sometime and get more food, I really wanna try the tacos!
Most amazing food you will ever have. Tiny chef should be a National treasure
Tonight was the night I’d been waiting for: Tiny Chef’s Tteokbokki Special!!!I’d had Tiny Chef’s Korean Crab Boil to-go before (which is amazingly delicious, and you should order it when Chef Melanie has it available), but this was my first time getting to order it in-person at the Silver Ballroom. If it’s your first time ordering in-person, it can be intimidating when you walk through the doors of the Silver Ballroom, but trust me my friend, it is well worth it. (You can also call to order, but sometimes it’s so busy the phones go down.)Tiny Chef offers several varieties of Tteokbokki: Red, White, and Pink sauce. Red is for those who love spice in their life. White is for those whose bodies won’t let them enjoy spice and instead offers delicious, creamy savoriness. And pink is for those who want a little bit of both worlds. The Tteokbokki tonight was INCREDIBLE. It was everything I dreamed a Korean rice cake would be and more. Light, fluffy rice deliciousness that melts in your mouth and brings a soft smile to your face is my description. It was so good I came back with another person to share a second dish…If you haven’t yet had the pleasure of experiencing Tiny Chef for yourself, please do yourself a favor and try out some of her amazing Korean dishes soon!
I tell everyone about Tiny Chef. This place makes my heart so happy. They run a lot of delicious looking specials, but I get the bibimbap every time because it’s just THAT good. ?
The food is absolutely amazing but very pricey for the portions. It’s “street food” at the cost of fine dining. I expected the special to be a little more expensive, but on top of a higher price it was $4 extra for egg and tofu (these are included in the lower priced bibimbap.) I can only afford eating here once in a blue moon and I wish it were more accessible.
Tiny chef was awesome. Food came out fast and was so good! Will be back for sure
