My favorite place to go get tacos !!! They are just so good ! It gets busy sometimes and the waits are long. Try to order ahead before getting there if you not trying to wait. Staff is hit and miss with friendliness.
Staff acts stuck up , was charged $10.00 per each street nacho when the sign states it’s $9.50 , if the price has changed you need to update that on your menu. && I don’t wanna hear “it’s tax” because I was clearly taxed twice on my receipt. Lol and then couldn’t even put my to go order in a bag. Won’t be returning & definitely do not recommend.
My experience here was very great?. All the food is made to order so you know that means hot and fresh. I didn’t have to send anything back. They can become busy but that’s expected from a establishment with good service. The fries that came with the kids meal were very seasoned and I helped my baby eat them?I had a strawberry ? margarita and my spouse had a sour apple ?.Both where good. They have Saint Louis style soda ( made with pure cane sugar ?) They have a lot of flavors of ice cream but I haven’t tried them yet. I ordered then whats pictured but I started eating before I remembered ?Sorry I wish I took more pictures.
We have a list from Date Ideas and Places to Go In STL, and this was our #1, and it did NOT disappoint, whatsoever. The prices are inexpensive, the food is amazing, and the portions you get for the price you pay, is shocking. My husband ordered their Cubano and ended up with lunch at the restaurant, and lunch for work for two additional days. And the ice cream, was just oh my goodness, AMAZING. We both got their regular Oreo, and it was some of the best ice cream we have ever had.
The Food: meat dry, no seasoning… tacos sizes for toddlers. Not worth the drive.” TotAlly not impressed
I wasnt told that the tacos are naked and you are to dress them when they are take out! But the street corn and the margarita was that bomb! I would definitely go back, to get the corn and drink!
Rude! This is so disappointing because I actually always recommend this place to friends! It’s says they close at 8, me and my friends walked in at 7:20 pm and there were 5 WHITE people in front of us. They helped every single person. We finally reached the front and were about to order, it was now 7:31. The girl said we are no longer taking orders and I said why? You don’t close until 8? She said she didn’t know, the cook said after the woman in front of you is the last customer. I saw him tell her something when he seen us walk in. I asked why would you guys let us stand here this whole time then? The girls behind me were also black. But they made sure they got them other customers together. One girl was also very rude saying she didn’t want my money anyway.
Tacos did not have any meat inside them and blamed the fact they had ran out of meat after I paid for multiple tacos. Company nor employees were not willing to give a refund, but after an exchange of words, they were willing to make other tacos to compensate. The tacos I had received were not the same price as my original ones I initially ordered and didn't even give me the correct amount when remade. Not to mention I was waited 45+ minutes when I ordered 6 tacos and 3 corn. Lastly, after arriving home I figured they had completed my order correctly, but opened the box to see 2 tacos and 1 corn inside. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone, especially when employees have a significant attitude when ordering or exchanging. This is not my first time here; this has been every occasion while trying to do business with these individuals.
The employees were so nice & the food ?
Fantastic little place to get tacos great service, the place is clean, the food came promptly. And they have a whole wall of hot sauces and a huge variety of ice cream. Also the prices are great and the food was fantastic. This is one of my favorite places to get tacos. I've been going to La Velasana for 20 years and I still go there, but this is a new favorite.
