Some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. You MUST try the duck confit, cornbread, burnt ends, beans, ribs, turkey, and brussel sprouts. Everything was so delicious and served quickly. Both BBQ sauces are yummy, but we preferred the thicker, sweeter one.

The Shaved Duck in Tower Grove East has been a favorite for years. I brought a friend who has never eaten here before and he was impressed. Their burnt ends are beyond! Service is great. I can honestly say I have never eaten anything here I haven’t liked. We are inside this trip because of the heat outside, but they do have picnic tables outside if you prefer eating outdoors. They have a nice beer and cocktail selection as well. Just a great neighborhood vibe with really good food!

Recommended to me by a colleague and I'm glad I stopped. Cool atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating available I went shortly after open on a Saturday and was able to get a table - bar seating is also available.FOOD: Brisket burger with bacon and a side of mac. The burger was really good. I tried some of the sauces on a few bites... the burger doesn't need it but they do compliment the flavors of the meat.DRINK: Sour Grove East. The drink was well prepared. Very balanced. They had a couple of musicians setting up as I was leaving. Staff was friendly and accomodating.

Bread pudding was really good. The soup of the day with corn and bacon was awesome. I really liked the chicken wings.

We went for the first time recently. We will be returning. The food and staff were wonderful. I have been telling people at work about it. Thank you for a great experience.

We had the turkey, tri-tip, and Brussel sprouts! So good!! Staff was so friendly.

We went to eat for my brothers birthday yesterday. We had reservations at 4 on Saturday 4/30/22. My brothers girlfriend planned it a week prior for 14 people at the table. Food was great, waiter great. HOWEVER! We had been there two hours. 30 to 40 minutes waiting for appetizers. Then another 35 Waiting for food to get there. Some got dessert and we sang happy birthday. We would have stayed and got drinks as well. My brother wasn't even done eating his dessert. At exactly 6 they were rushing us out the door due to a reservation AT 6. Even though we were there first. We had paid for this huge meal and we didnt even get to finish it.. Some other waitresses came and said we need your table. So we all had to stop what we were doing and get up and give them our chairs. My brother barely got to finish and had to try to get it to go. After we went outside we all agreed we would never come here again. That was the rudest thing we have ever experienced. Never have I ever had waitresses come up and say we need your table for someone else. Even though we made reservation and it was a celebration.. SO RUDE!

Our extended family of 6 came for dinner. It was amazing. Everything from the fries to the nachos to the meats to the vegetables got a thumbs up from the table. I can’t wait to come back again when I visit saint louis

Saturday March 26 we were looking for some good St.Louis bbq. After finding out Bogarts was sold out, I called Shaved Duck and requested a table for 8...We were told to come on...Whe arrived in 10 minutes and upon arrival were told that our group was too large and we were no longer welcome. I asked very nicely for them to reconsider and they begrudgingly gave me a couple of paper menus and were asked to wait outside in the 40 degree weather. We were told the wait would be from 60 to 90 minutes so we just left and went to Smokin Barrels. We were very glad we did...Forget The Shaved Duck and skip it for Bogarts or Smokin Barrels...You'll be glad you did...

Cute place and neighborhood. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was very good. Love places like this one.
