Came to this place to decompress after a long week and this place doesn’t disappoint. The bartenders were very friendly and very helpful with their menu. I tried the club sandwich and a side of veggie soup. Both were very good. Although, the root beer float wasn’t my favorite and that was on me. Since I have dairy intolerance, I chose the vanilla bean coconut ice cream and that didn’t go well with root beer. Lol I got the Red Zeppelin martini. That drink was definitely up my alley. I highly recommend this place and will definitely come back.
Fun spot near the Fox Theater on Grand Ave. The food is tasty with homemade soups and great sandwiches. Save room for a special milkshake or dessert. Yummy!
We came to The Fountain for a going-away lunch for a colleague and SO glad we did! Definitely need to make reservations because it gets busy, but the food is great, the menu offers something for everyone, and EVERYONE got ice cream after the meal! It made for a nice relaxed lunch and everyone kept saying how great the restaurant was afterward. One of my colleagues is already planning to go back with his family - his daughters are picky eaters and the kids menu has "some stuff my girls would actually eat at a reasonable price." I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Pretty neat place. Has both alcoholic beverages and dessert, which is the best of both worlds. I got the root beer float with vanilla ice cream. They make their own sodas so it was pretty unique. I enjoyed the atmosphere and would highly recommend to visit this area. Family friendly.
The Fountain On Locust is a fun retro restaurant with a great vibe. I called to get put on a wait list and never received a text or call however I was seated within a few minutes of entering the restaurant. The service at the Fountain On Locust seemed a little slow and disorganized. The Dill Pickle Soup and Billy chips (Assuming I received them and not Kettle chips) were underwhelming. The Entree's were both good with the mini cones being a standout. 3.5 Dining in. 5.0 if going for Drinks/Desserts.
Fabulous spot for for drinks, dessert, and socializing. The food is splendid. I had the famous Adult Grilled Cheese and I’d have it again. The Fountain has a huge selection of unique and well crafted drinks; they also have all your traditional cocktails prepared by skilled mixologist.
We came here for drinks, dinner & dessert and enjoyed all of it. The place was very busy and therefore somewhat loud, but it's a fun environment. Their hummus was delicious as were the ice creams - try the mini cone flight to get a taste of 4 different flavors. We also had excellent salads. Drinks were good, not great.
The fountain is So good for so many reasons. Ice cream selection, drinks, food, service, cool setting, the list goes on. It’s tucked away but worth seeking out. I personally love their St. Louis style salad and famous dill soup. The grilled cheese is good and the egg salad sandwich is amazing! My husband got their roast beef and it was perfect and the flavor was outstanding. Highly recommend you leave room for desert or a desert drink. The chocolate martinis are worth it.
Awesome drinks and very friendly staff. I highly recommend this establishment
