I had a good stay at the Ritz in St Louis, the rooms were spacious and on brand for the type of design the Ritz normally skews towards. Lobby feels a bit dated and a little more worn than I would typically expect. When I stayed, the restaurant was not open for dinner on Monday evenings, which was slightly inconvenient. But the concierge was able to book reservations a short drive away.
So happy we stayed here. It was a truly great stay from top to bottom. Only encountered wonderful staff from our front desk agent late at night to the room service attendants. Rooms are quiet and well appointed. Loved the bed. Room service is pricy but delicious. But its room service so who cares! Lol. Good updates throughout. Lots of weddings but the hotel handled it well. One note. Friday and Saturday nights are WILD in the lobby. A huge lobby bar party with music and wasted people. So bizarre and feels really off-brand but you can’t hear it upstairs so its no big deal, just so odd.
Great spot with friendly staff and elegant atmosphere. If you’re staying overnight at the Ritz St Louis and like cigars or fine cocktails this is a must. I’d pay the annual membership fee if I lived here, for sure.
Staff and atmosphere are excellent
One night stay in St Louis and checked into the Ritz Carlton (it;s been five years since my last visit). The hotel in an oasis in St Louis with great staff, terrific rooms and a stunning new restaurant - that cannot be missed. My thanks to the Club Room staff who went out of their wat to ensure that the guest were happy. A really nice stay!
Wonderful hotel and the staff is very nice and accommodating. Restaurant and bar top notch. One of the nicer Ritz’s I’ve visited. It’s an older hotel and our room had an unique footprint. For the size of the room, the windows seemed very small, which made the room very dark. Had to turn on every light to feel comfortable. Before I end this review, I would like to acknowledge the shower. Weird right? I’ve stayed in many high-end hotels and Marriott properties, this shower is supreme. #1. If you like a good shower, it’s worth the price of admission. It’s that good.
Many service failures which one of the managers tried to excuse as due to staff shortages. One must wonder whether senior management of the Ritz chain are monitoring the local management staff — who are uniformly pleasant, but seem unable to get the staff to pay attention to details. The international reputation of the brand, and hefty prices, create high expectations. They were not met at this hotel because of service failures. However, the rooms are great: spacious, quiet, comfortable and great bathrooms. The restaurant is world class — great food and service.
We stayed in a room with club access - wonderful with kids! Highly recommend. Will definitely stay again. Outstanding offerings for snacks, vino and desserts! Nicely appointed rooms and common areas. You cannot go wrong
I travel a lot and spend a lot of time in Hotels. The Ritz in Clayton MO was great. I reserved a one bedroom suite and it was perfect. There was even a TV in the Bathroom. The Service was Great. The Reception was Great. The room was large and well appointed. The location was perfect. This is definitely 5 Star and would stay there again. The Restaurant in the Hotel was fabulous. There was a Sushi bar and Live Music on Saturday.
This is a great hotel in a very quiet part of town. Due to the pandemic, the dining is still a bit limited here but the hotel has done it's best to handle the situation. The lobby lounge which is only open for dinner has a limited menu, but the food is very good. The Cigar Lounge was great for my business meetings. It is not a smoky hard to breath place and the ventilation system removes most of the smoke and odor for those who are not big fans of smoking but want a place to relax. The hotel is very clean and it was very quiet during my stay.
