good times...friendly staff...guest DJs set the vibe...tasty, unique cocktails were flowing...i LOVE this spot...cant wait to return
I love the drinks and the food here. It’s always a vibe, would recommend as a place to have a few drinks and a good conversation. My only critique is that the owner should DJ all the time!! The DJ on Saturday evenings throws me a bit.
Come here when you want a place to meet friends-get a roomy booth or head upstairs to a table in the loft. The Dj played fab music. The classics are excellent and great list of delicious in-house creations ( nice selection of non-alcoholic drinks too!) I'll be back.
Vibe is everything, and the vibe at takashima really serves. I wouldn’t say it’s a place to go for dinner, but a night cap and accompanying jams is certainly on the menu.
Our salon had our first social media team outing here and the staff at Takashima made it absolutely amazing! Everyone enjoyed the cocktails and we all definitely loved the small plates!(Special shout-out to out server, Derrick !!!!)
Robbie and the entire crew went way above and beyond to make our event truly fantastic. I had last minute requests for a party I was hosting at Takashima and the entire staff pivoted and accompanied quick changes seamlessly; I loved being WOW’d by their professionalism. Outstanding cocktails, great music, and unique vibe are just a handful of things you can expect when you visit. Thank you Robbie and team!
Not as low-key as I expected a Record bar to be but I was still pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and vibes given off. I will certainly come back with friends for a happy hour or late night drinks after enjoying the cool nearby Grove neighborhood.
This is a great place for drinks and good music. The downside is that the DJ was very rude. I tried to give him a compliment on the music selection and he ignored me standing there and when I spoke up and said great job on the music, his response was “I know”. Very rude and cocky!!
Nice vibes but pricey. We ordered 2 glasses of wine and our bill was 35.xx. Also, the communication is not good between server and patron. Their POS system was down and instead of letting us know they kept swiping my card then inserting because it’s a chip card. Now I have 3 35 charges on my account smh… if the machine was down why not say that the first time instead.. this is not your debit card … my advice would be to take cash just in case.
Takashima record bar is sexy and fun. Just like the owners Dan and Robbie.The staff is friendly and helpful, the drinks are wild and wonderful, the food is delicious and the music is awesome. I can hardly wait to go back.
