Had dinner at one of my all time favorites and let me just say it was quite a shock ? I walked in and all the tables empty with no servers to find. Instead you now order from a kiosk and they bring your food out on a tray to the counter. The cook told me all because of the pandemic. This steak and shake is now like every other drive thru fast food joint. While I was sitting there eating another guy walks in and then walked out after learning there are no servers. Sad. Look how technology is putting people out of work not to mention what this pandemic has done.
Great experience here. Place was very clean, and food was great. It was hot and delicious. The kiosks were down, but the manager took our order and was very polite. One of the better Steak ‘n Shake experiences I’ve had.
Cashier never asked what we wanted on our food you could tell that the burger had been microwaved and still was not hot. You have one person on the grill one on prep and no in between person
Hands down... The greatest fast food burger in the midwest. Open until 2am but compared to other locations, this one is below average. The burgers aren't as good and the service is lacking. I went there one night at about 1:00 a.m. and the lights were on, but nobody was there to take my order. I went again and after waiting about 20 minutes, they tell me that it would be another 30 minutes before they had chili. Went again to find out that they stop making chicken strips at midnight. This is the type of thing that is typical for north county restaurants. If you are really hungry and want a good experience, avoid this location. If it's a late night, the extra 20 minutes to go down to Hampton will be worth your time.
This location has had some problems with having enough employees working the night shift but who ever the gentleman is that works like a mad man a huge shout out to him because it seems he is the only one working. The food is always good the wait is a little long but I can look past that. I just drove by this location and now they are open on the inside back to the norm. Keep up the good work and food thank you
A great experience. It has been a long time since I've had a great Steak n Stake experience. All my food was hot and fresh. Friendly staff. I can't lie this experience made me feel great. Brought up a lot of old memories of coming here with my step mom. This was one of her favorite places. My whole experience made my heart smile. Thank you all.
After placing an order we’re I was charged over $20 to receive a bowl of chili that’s barely full and a shake that’s also less than half full especially since I didn’t want whipped cream or cherry . I tt manager Karen the owners mom was very indignant and rude refused to add more said I paid for what I got with to me was ripped off I don’t care about there reasons are as a paying customer I should be able to get a full bowl etc . She gave me her sons # I called him he says same thing she says about their company reasons and so on I tried to give my opinion as the customer he comps and attitude and starts to out talk me I had to raise my voice and tell him this isn’t going anywhere I just won’t ever got back to that location ever again they have lost me as a customer!! Its a shame they rather lose out on money than please there customers!
New management is terrible. Owner is disrespectful and disrespectful my mother. I will never come back to the steak n shake. My mother asked for extra onions and he said “no, I don’t make money off of that”.He was also bragging about how he’s the owner of the Steak ‘n Shake. They will never receive my money ever again. I HIGHLY recommend you never show up to this Steak ‘n Shake again.
Great food as usual! They were extremely short handed when we were there but they were working their tails off to keep the customers happy! Good job!
One of the better locations, if not one of the last. Great food, excellent service. Get extra napkins.
