Love the shake skinny fries and double burner with orp. Not a fan of the lack of salad on the digital menu.
I was a little thrown off by the Kiosk ordering system, but it ended up being pretty easy. I chose to dine in and the best part of my experience was watching the way Evelyn & Brenda ran the counter!!!! They are AMAZING!!! From dealing with delivery order and drivers to making sure dine in customers have EVERYTHING they need!!! They also keep the place SPOTLESS!!!! Haven't had S-n-S in forever, as there really aren't any close to me. Was so glad I went there today for lunch!!!!
Ordering at the kiosk, I noted that the final charge to my credit card exceeded what I had ordered. There was a discrepancy between the menu price and the final charged price. The staff argued with me until I showed them with a second order. Then they tried to imply that the kiosk was controlled nationally and not in their control. Finally they gave me the overcharge back but clearly had no intention of changing anything that would keep future customers from being ripped off. By the time this was solved, my burger was cold. I would not trust food from people with such lack of honesty and character.
Day or night, the 4 times I've been, my wait have exceeded 30 minutes for a vanilla shake. That's all. I use the kiosk to order and pay. It gives me a ticket number. They call numbers before AND after mine. Because I'm so patient, I sit and wait to be acknowledged and it's never been under 30 minutes. So they obviously don't honor the ticket number system consistently! If and when I decide to go back, after receiving my paid ticket and order number, I will go directly to the counter to let them know I'm waiting! After all, I'm done drinking the shake in a time shorter than the wait.
I've never been to Steak'n'Shake before and wasn't planning on eating there yesterday. I parked in their parking lot to walk to the St. Patrick's Day Parade and spoke with a really pleasant polite gentleman who turned out to be the owner. Upon returning to the car I saw him again and asked about dining in. When he told me they were open and had indoor dining we decided to eat lunch there. The restaurant was clean and all the employees were courteous and polite. The food was better than I had ever anticipated. Patrons and employees interacted well and it was definitely a great dining experience. Once again the owner approached us to make sure we had everything we needed. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a quick bite at affordable pricing. The shakes and burgers were incredible!!
Depending upon the time it can be busy but the best part is they're open when everyone else closes @10pm or earlier. Your order is 9 out of 10 times right also locally owned. The worker's work well together to get your food out and the dining room is well maintained clean and comfortable area to sit and enjoy your food which is very affordable and filling 4 for $4 meals fries and burgers, I recommend getting cheese sauce for fries. Award winning chili and milkshake heaven anything your sweet tooth desires....??
This is your average SnS. The food was good, if not sloppily put together. Seriously, we got 2 Frisco Melts and the lineup of bread and meat was so far off it was scary.The lady at the window who took our order and gave us our food was grumpy and hard to understand.Would I go back? Yeah, but Id see if there were any other locations within driving distance first.
ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE. Service was slow, our burgers were done and I watched them sit for 11 minutes before being placed on trays and another three minutes until served. I listened to two different staff members on there cellphones, on loudly arguing with their significant other. All our food was cold, fountain drink machine out of all drinks.
As with each Steak n Shake, the food was prepared quickly, not left to aSit. Staff friendly. Steak n Shake, you are a class act among fast food.
