We arrived right at lunch time so our table of 6 had about a 45 minute wait but it was worth it! BLT was STACKED with Bacon! Cheeseburger was delicious! Chicken strips weren’t the best, but everything else was so much better than expected. The $20 freak milkshakes were SO AMAZING! The waitress wasn’t as present as we would have liked but she had a lot of tables.
Service was beyond slow and the food arrived cold. For the price and slow service, stick to just the ice cream. It was delicious.
What a fun place to eat! It was right by the union station hotel so we loved walking over there for some ice cream during our stay. We were able to get on yelp and reserve a spot in line then go down to the place when it was closer to time. Service was nice but they were a little slow. I still give it five stars, since everywhere is slow due to Covid shortages right now. Their food was amazing and my girls loved all the fun choices for ice cream.
The STLUSSF, was okay, the chicken sandwich was a little on the dry side. Our waiter was friendly and the hostess, when not seating someone, spent her time brushing her hair wig at the hostess station. It seems like it could be a fun place to go with a large group. Let us know if it is! Enjoy.
My family stopped in for ice cream at the Soda Fountain because we promised the kiddos. There were 9 of us. They didn't have a menu. They expect everyone to scan this barcode with their cell phone. That's fine, we were all doing that and the waitress walked up and asked if she could get us drinks. Half of us were still getting the menu and without giving us even a second she huffed off and didn't say anything! Well alright then we thought and caught another waitress a short time later. This waitress was pleasant and took our order. We were there over 20 minutes and she brought us waters. We assumed that meant ice cream was coming right out. Wrong! Another 30 minutes goes by and we start asking for help from our waitress. She proceeded to tell us there were 7 groups ahead of us and it was going to be awhile. We begged for a manager to at least bring out 2 kids cups of chocolate to appease the children. There were people around us who had come in after us and ordered food. They were finished eating and on to their ice cream! I don't think the manager took us seriously at all about the whole situation. We were not offered any kind of compensation or discount and when the check came there was an automatic 18% gratuity added. We are excellent tippers to hard working servers. That's a difficult job and we appreciate what they do for us however no one at this establishment deserved ANY TIP! We approached the manager to pay and explain our thoughts on the tip. He proceeded to berate us and state that we were rude! This was the worst experience we have ever had and will never return!
server was rude. wouldnt recommend wasting your time. if you try to go to management theyll just defend the rude server.
PROS: Spacious, good portion size for food, and fun atmosphere.CONS: Can be pricey, but get a lot of bang for your buck.TIPS: It is stroller or wheelchair accessible. Parking is NOT free.
My husband came by here around 7-8pm on a Sunday night, we were visiting St. Louis for a couple days (we’re from Indiana). Our waitress was super nice and very prompt with any refills we needed, etc. I got chicken tenders, my husband got a burger, and we shared fries. The food was good. We also got the “Everything But…” shake (pictured below) which was the real reason we came here as it was recommended to me by someone I know. And let me tell you, the shake does NOT DISAPPOINT!!! ?? It was pricey at $18, however they put a ton of stuff in the shake and this is not something we do every day/week/month so we made the exception. I’m glad we did. If we’re ever in the area again I’d definitely stop in and get another shake to share. ❤️
We stopped in after riding the Ferris wheel. My burger was not hot, the bun hard. My sundae was freezer burnt and the hot fudge was non existent for the up-charge. My husband said he gets a better shakes at McD's. Everything was very overpriced for the quality. It's a cute little shop and my daughter did enjoy her birthday shake (but not worth the $18) Our final bill including tip was over $85...... Sorry but we will not be returning.
We were given plastic silverware while everyone else got metal silverware. They were out of everything I ordered and she gave us the wrong burgers. It was over priced for below average food and I was extremely disappointed overall. Laura was our server and she never smiled and served the table that ordered after us before she served us. Would not recommend at all!
