I have eaten in at this establishment multiple times, have also done take out as well as delivery, and this is some of the best BBQ I've ever had. My go to's are the BBQ chicken nachos and the turkey sandwich. Both are always cooked to perfection, the staff is always friendly, and the food is ready quickly. If you're looking for some delicious BBQ, you've found the right place.
This place was a treat, the food was homey and familier for any bbq eaters. Its got a classic and timeless taste that most know well if they eat it often. As someone from austin texas ive been around the block of the bbq restaurants (county line, kent black, rudys of course) and i thought thiw was a great mom and pop shop to enjoy. The prices were real reasonable and the food wasn't too dry, wasn't too fatty. And we got jolly ranchers at the end ofthe expeirence so thats a plus.
To preface all of this, me and my girlfriend have made it a yearly tradition to come to St. Louis every year and get barbecue. This was our last stop of the trip before beginning our 4 hour trip home. We got here, and we were greeted by a very nice employee (did not get her name) who told us she would take our order at the register. This was the start of the problems; nothing was explained to us so while we thought we were ordering for dine in, we actually ordered for carry out. The one thing that we were told was that our food would be brought to us. We were given waters because we were told it would be a little while because they were busy (which we totally understood). We sat with our waters from 2:17 to 3:15 before I went up to the counter and asked about our food, come to find out that our food was sitting on the counter. The employee who told us she would bring us our food passed us several times and I even tried to speak up and get her attention and she kept just walking past us. On top of that, once I got to the front, the man I spoke to about where our food was essentially tried to blame it on me for not coming up sooner even tho I was just listening to what another employee said. I also saw several other customers have to-go orders brought to them while they sat at tables. And just to add on more, the meat was all very dry, and the ribs were very tough. Frustrating that we waited that long and then we’re disrespected and then the food didn’t feel worth the wait.
Our first time eating here in 2.5 yrs. Food is delicious as always (we do carryout from here) but I think the portions are smaller now. Also the sauce changed a little, used to be thicker. Overall still a great place, will continue to come here.

My favorite family BBQ place in St. Louis. Nothing fancy, just good BBQ and sides. The service is friendly and helpful. We sat outside under an umbrella and enjoyed the beautiful day.Totally worth the trip if you've never tried it. My family from out-of-state loves the food here!
Everything about this place is outstanding. Great service and the best barbecue I have ever had. The sweet sauce is amazing. Their ribs are huge. I have never had better brisket. The restaurant is decorated in a fun way. I can't say enough good things about Smoking Barrels. 10 out of 10.
My wife took me here for some bbq and I had the ribs while she had the brisket. Gotta say, it was delicious! The ribs were done to perfection! The meat came right off the bone and the flavour was amazing! We had it to takeout, but the decor in the restaurant was awesome and the owner and server were very friendly and welcoming! I highly recommended!
My husband and I are regulars here. Dennis, the owner, is hard working and friendly. The food he and his team prepare is delicious and reasonably priced. You can dine in, dine on the patio or have it delivered. The experience is consistent regardless of the process. We enjoy the ribs, potatoes and sweet corn most often. However the pulled pork, grilled chicken, brisket and turkey drumsticks are all delicious. They have a nice variety of sauces to choose from if that's what you like and I do! I often order for my work as well. My retail team all love this restaurant and I am able to please even the pickiest person with the variety of lunch choices available.
Came back the next day for dinner after having lunch the previous day. Had a great sandwich for lunch and had to try the chicken, ribs and tri tip for dinner. All was delicious. The service was great and fast. They were checking throughout the meal to make sure everything was good. I highly recommend this BBQ place.
