It’s the second time I’ve been here and I’m still not impressed with the drinks, maybe because I keep trying to order cocktails and their thing is the huge selection of Scotch, Bourbon, etc. On the table we had the Hum For Your Buzz which I’m sad to say but it is probably the worst drink I’ve ever had (that was the opinion of the 5 of us on the table, it was just really bad, I’m sorry), we just couldn’t drink that (maybe there’s people out there who could like it (?), not us) and the Seelbach was pretty bad but not that bad. I had the Garden something which was really refreshing and light, perfect for a hot day.We ordered all the appetizers to share except the salad because we had the Summer Grain Salad which was the best thing we tried, I could totally have that with the garden drink and it would be a nice summer meal but the rest of the item just very average, the flavors (in my opinion) were pretty bland or really spicy, not well balanced . The poutine was fine, but I mean that’s fries. The service was good, everyone nice and the place is really cool. The display of bottles at the bar is impressive. Maybe stay away from those drinks, stick to flights and straight up drinks and this could be a good place.
Food was excellent, service was consistent and helpful. Wasn’t too busy which was nice as it was quiet. I’m told that the menu frequently changes so I’m excited to try new items in the future.
Great for drinks. Food was ok. Experimental and creative items on the menu but wasn't filling. But I'm willing to go there again and try other things!
Small Batch was amazing. We had a great waiter, drinks were delicious and food was awesome. Great way to taste a lot of really good bourbon without breaking the bank and surprisingly great food to pair with it. Also a great location!
Went to St Louis for a few days and I tried quite a few places as a plant-based person and this place is a true gem! Great staff. I tried their rye whiskey flight, many fresh vegan dishes and delicious desserts. More please!
Nothing stood out about this place. Been wanting to try for awhile and it was meh. Server seemed like she wanted to do nothing more than not wait on us. Food was bland. Drinks were good which earned another star. Honestly the 2 star was for just not a very welcoming atmosphere and we like vegetarian vibe but the flavors just weren’t there.
Wonderful experience! We had the poutine, brussel sprouts, and salad for sharing. The green rice and the schnitzel for entrees. Dessert we had the chocolate ganache and the rice pudding. Everything was absolutely delicious. My husband enjoyed the whiskey flights and the bartender whipped up a mocktail for me!
On a visit to STL, this vegetarian had to check out the historic place, esp. as it served a drink of choice in my expert wheelhouse. I did like the ambience, though we were not allowed to move to a different table since "each table was selected already" (that's fine, but the restaurant remained uncrowded on a Friday night until 10 p.m.) Overall, the basics were not carried through. First, the front of the house and the waitress seemed to have limited restaurant experience referring to dishes on the menu as "simple" with Limited spark or interest in any part of the meal. I Second, the drinks: hmmm, not very good. We had two airplanes--which tasted like sour lemon and foam, and a Manhattan which was OK, but not outstanding. Third the food and menu: it was surprisingly limited. Two of our party had the kimchee broth which they enjoyed. I had the sweet potato sandwich with very salty fries. The sandwich came on a soft bun with iceberg lettuce. It was a piece of sweet potato fried. It was OK but did not seem restaurant worthy, esp. if a tasty sweet potato burger might be created fairly easily! We also ordered two appetizers, the Brussel sprouts and the fried cauliflower; both were small and mediocre. Good intentions and the reviews are certainly good but did not match our experience. I hope others fair better; vegetarians restaurants deserve more of a place our culture!
Very unique dishes! The interior is beautiful - perfect for a date, and you won't find anything like it elsewhere! Pricey but it is an upscale place & you won't leave still hungry
The food and drinks were brilliant. Creative ideas but more importantly the execution was perfect. Seemed very slightly understaffed but the service was friendly and welcoming. Would come back many times.
