Had the lobster popovers, tenderloin and a couple desserts. All delicious. House cocktails were great as well!
I had the lobster app. Phenomenal. I ordered the Brisket and the Hasselbeck potatoes. Even more Phenomenal. I'll be back to explore the rest of the menu. Super friendly staff. Excellent place to dine. Exceptional service. Just overall Super nice people with a kitchen that just destroys your expectations. This is an exceptional executive chef with cooks and chefs the like inside the kitchen throwing flavors/taste that is beyond imagination. And im an uber driver, so you know I know restaurants.
Such a great atmosphere and wonderful staff. This was my wife's and I first time visiting Sidney Street and we are looking forward to returning soon. The food was amazing and our waiter was the best. Thank you Jason (Sir) for making out diner even better.
Spencer took great care of us! The menu was a great mix of classic and creative. Menu was priced fairly for its quality and portions. Very romantic little dining room with exposed brick and street lights. Definitely recommend!
One of the finest culinary experiences in STL! Nestled near Benton park/ Soulard area - a nondescript building from outside but as soon as you enter, the brick walls, the bar area and stand and can lighting will appeal sophistication. We had Westley as server and he was 5 star all the way. They have elaborate wine and liquor selection and they can even make some great mock tails on the fly. It’s cozy atmosphere but very good utilization of space and service is fast. You won’t go wrong with Lobster turnover or Veal dumplings for starters. Entree and A la carte dishes have great choices - if you are going for A la carte dish then a salad (try the apple salad- it was one of the most delicious part of the meal) or soup and side dish is highly recommended as portion sizes are small - but love the plating! Don’t skip the desert menu and if you are adventurous go for the Espresso martin. Definitely coming here again!!
The best steak in all of Saint louis area. The beat steak I've ever had actually. And I travel often and try food everywhere. You pay for it here but it's definitely worth it. If you have never been here I suggest giving it a try. You will definitely fall in love and come back for years. I come here a couple times a year.
A beautiful spot for a lovely dine in meal. The staff was friendly and attentive, the appetizers, main course, and wine was delicious! This is certainly a place I would go again for a very nice meal or special occasion!
Been here several times. Definitely one of STL’s best.Great food, great service, great restaurant.
I cannot recommend Sidney Street Cafe enough! Each time I dine here, I leave amazed!! The food, service and ambiance are absolutely divine. Our server was Megan and she was phenomenal- very knowledge about the menu and attentive (thank you for recommending the beef cheek!!). We ordered the lobster turnovers, beef cheek, scallops and polenta and everything was equally amazing. My favorite restaurant in STL, hands down!
This restaurant was one of our favorites when we lived in St Louis, so when we came back to visit family we wanted to try it again and were not disappointed. It is located in a residential area and sometimes parking is a little bit of a challenge. It is not a huge restaurant, but has a nice bar space and a separate dining room. There is a full bar with some interesting drinks on the menu (my daughter enjoyed the fall bourbon). Wine list is very good, with some unusual choices. The cuisine is a little eclectic. I would describe it as classics redone with twist. Appetizers are on a chalk board and then entrees are on a menu. For appetizers the crudo was hamachi with sweet potatoes and popcorn (!), a little different but really good. I had the veal dumplings, more traditional but spicy and enjoyable. My daughter had steak tartare, which was sort of a philly cheese steak version of steak tartare. Sounds weird, but she really enjoyed it. For dinner, 2 of us had the halibut, cooked perfectly, very nice. One of us had the beef tenderloin, another the ribeye, and a third the brisket. All were cooked as ordered and very favorable. In terms of service, it is top notch and very friendly, the way one expects St Louis at its best. In sum, Sidney Street hasn't lost a step.
