Great Irish pub in historic Dogtown. The resturant has three indoor seating areas, all with tons of seating, and and outdoor patio area that's used during good weather. In the middle of the resturant is a little shop featuring resturant apparel/items, and imported authentic Irish clothing like hats, kilts, belts, etc. Now, onto the food. Seamus serves great bar food, such as burgers, sandwiches, etc, and has a good selection of beer and liquor as well. For this trip, we split breaded cheese nuggets, chili, and a rueben sandwich. Seamus can also accommodate larger parties, especially during good weather!
Great place! Appetizers are very big so you can easily do 2 to 3 of those with drinks and be set with a group of 3 to 4. The fried cheese is a winner. On the other hand...ordering non appetizers, everything I've had is super good! Sitting outside on a nice day is recommended!
Had not been to this St. Louis iconic restaurant and bar for some time. In fairness, it was a few days after St. Patrick's Day, so getting back to normal may take some time. First and foremost, the Guinness Draught was a disappointment, not in the proper glass, and the head was poorly drawn. They were out of many of their draught beers, but I'll give them a pass on that, as it was about a week after St. Patrick's Day. The service was spotty, and not very friendly. The food was ample in serving size, and mine tasted fine. My wife got the Chicken Parmesan sandwich, and found some "gristle" in the middle of it. Again, I know finding good servers right now is tough, but we were just plain disappointed.
I used to not care for burgers but, I have tried many in St. Louis and yes that includes other burgers from the top of "the lists". Seamus McDaniels is the ONLY place I have ever gone back to time and time again for a burger. Their burgers are FANTASTIC! I actually have daydreams about their burgers and how good they are. Their cheese sauce is DIVINE! I get it on my fries but I then get extra and I actually use it to make my home made cheese bread. Yep it's that good. I love the atmosphere here and the staff is ALWAYS great!
Had a blast with David the bartender during lunch. The food was delicious...gyro and fries. Perfect Mac and cheese! And a satisfying grilled cheese.
Food is good. For sandwiches and burgers, and some proper salads, this place has got it goin on.
Best burger in town handsdown! Their chicken sandwich is huge and juicy and delicious. I have never had a bad meal from this restaurant. Most of the time we get takeout and they never disappoint. Please Seamus bring back dunk the veggie app.
Good atmosphere. Very pleasant staff. I had the cod sandwich...was good, not greasy. The onion rings were not anything great. The other dish was chili burger and fries. Huge portion! The chili was good.
Friendly service, great burgers and chicken for the kids! A wonderful experience!! A nice way to wrap up a trip to the zoo!! ;-)
Very busy neighborhood bar/restaurant. Our party had 8 different entrees. (They are noted for their hamburgers) All were excellent. Sad that the menu has been reduced since the pandemic, but glad to see it open for indoor or outdoordining. Fun place in a safe Hill neighborhood.
