The Pollo Popeye was delicious! The waiter handled our group of five that grew to seven with ease. My first experience with a margarita flight. Yum. Highly recommend San Jose Mexican Restaurant.
Came here on a random Tuesday for an early dinner with family. Weather was awesome so we sat on the patio. Nice patio with tables around a fire pit that has some benches. The patio overlooks the plaza parking lot, so isn't exactly scenic, but gets the job done.Margaritas were good. Food was a little bland, I got a chili poblano and beef enchilada, service was slow, friendly, but slow. Took what seemed like forever to get our first marg pitcher and to take our order. Vibe was good on this particular day though.Parking lot has plenty of space, we actually were able to park on the restaurants curb because of how early we were there.
My honey and I went here In 2013 for our fist date…so happy memories. Fast forward to 3/4/2022 we decided to return and had a delightful night and a full belly. Service is quick, polite and food is good. I don’t do Spicy so this is right up my alley with selection. It does get a little loud especially on a busy Saturday night. Chips are perfect-light, crisp and perfectly salted. The table salsa is awesome and makes you want more. Don’t fill up on the chips because your meal will hit the spot for whatever Mexican craving you have.

Really cute place with really great Mexican food. Outdoor seating when the weather allows. Their chorizo is one of the best I’ve ever had. There’s a photo here of their chorizo and cheese dip appetizer. Was amazing. Loved the margarita!
My favorite Mexican restaurant in St.louis!! My first stop after getting my braces off to celebrate with some delicious nachos! Definitely amazing staff, I go so much they always know my order before I even order my drink lol. Just goes to show they have quality customer service! Very accommodating to food allergies & special diet restrictions. Family friendly, FAST service, & very clean!! Also best salsa & chips around!

First time there today. First impressions were it was very clean and did a good decorating job. Staff was quick and pleasant. I had the Taco Salad Fajita. Really good! I'm a big guy and a big eater and I was stuffed when we left. Prices were reasonable especially for the quantity and quality of the food. I'm looking forward to going back soon to try other things on the menu.
Quick service. Food was delicious. The portions are large so sharing one meal would do.The space was very big so if you dont feel comfortable yet inside ask them to sit you apart. They have a patio so when it is warmer I'll give it another go.
They went above and beyond to cook a meal that was gluten free for my Celiac disease, and make no fuss. Waiting staff was excellent and polite to the chefs did a spectacular job with a truly gluten free meal.
