Best meal of my entire business trip. Amazing staff, hearty portions and did I mention the food? We were ecstatic to have found the Riverside Diner! My flair for the random paid off that day.
This is my go to breakfast/lunch spot on the weekend. I love everything I have gotten there, from Eggs & Bacon to fresh salads. The people that make this establishment move, actually care & it shows. My addiction started with their amazing Monte Cristo sandwich & evolved from there. You may have to wait on the weekends, if they are busy, but it is always worth it.
Such amazing breakfast we came here every. Single. Morning. When we were in town some of the best crispy bacon and amazing home fries. The specials are one of a kind if you ever get the chance stop in for a quick bite with the locals it's a killer spot for a fresh bite wonderful pricing and great options can't wait to come back!!
MJ and I went there for a Sunday Brunch. We were not disappointed. It is an out of the way spot but it was packed. We had to wait maybe 30 minutes. The reason was the food. Simply it was delicious. We both had pork chops, eggs, and biscuits. The server also gave us a small sample of hash browns. That was quite tasty, as was the whole brunch.A telling sign was that as we were eating, at least two people came back the area near the kitchen to tell the staff that they enjoyed their meal. The food was good and the service was first rate. The price of the meal was quite reasonable. We might go back again in the near future.
Loved it! We had planned to stop in Soulard for breakfast and place was packed. Started heading out 55 and did a Google search for restaurants nearby and discovered Riverside. My new favorite breakfast place. There was a wait for a table but chatted with folks outside and they insisted it was worth it. They were right. Service was outstanding and staff we interacted with were all friendly. Darling diner, very nostalgic. And the food? delish!! Portions are huge and prices very reasonable. Tasted my boyfriend’s pancakes and they may be the best ever. My biscuits and gravy tasted just like my mom used to make. Highly recommend!!
This is my go to place for breakfast. It’s affordable and delicious. The potatoes are always crispy, and the eggs are always cooked to perfection. I couldn’t recommend this place more! This is the type of food that makes you go get grandma, so she can try some too! I’d eat here everyday if my schedule allowed it.The staff is kind, and remembered us after only two visits. They work hard and always take care of us.Oh, and don’t forget to ask about what pies are in that cooler!
I happen to go here because of word of mouth I heard it was good foodWe waited 15 minutes to be seated which was acceptable then we waited another 45 minutes to get our food which was not acceptableDuring our wait to get our food I noticed other people with more expedited service and I started to wonder why it was taking so long until I noticed a to-go order for 10 go outWhen our food was brought to us my wife's food was brought cold mine was bought overcooked and coldDuring the time I sat and wait unfortunately for them they left the doors open to the food prep area and the back where I witnessed the toast from my plate fall to the table as another plate was being prepped that same piece of toast put back up in the window on the plateAnd for its entirety the meal cost us $31 not including tip now the idea of cold food and overcooked food. Periodically can be expected but for poor handling there is no excuse it's called cross-contamination especially when the customer witnesses it will never go there again would not recommend because of my experience

We were sat promptly upon availability of a table and drinks were ordered and served accordingly. FIRST restaurant to give water with coffee WITHOUT me asking. GREAT JOB on that! Food ordered right after, SO GOOD JOB on the Opening Service. I ordered the Country Fried Steak, 2 scrambled eggs, with sourdough toast.Drinks were refilled WITHOUT having to ask! GOOD JOB again on attentiveness to your tables! Food was served promptly. Severs checked in within 2mins of food being dropped! And half way thru the meal! GREAT JOB with the steps of Service!
We were passing through STL and my wife and I love to find out of the way little mom and pop places, wow did we get a good one this morning. We googled it went and it was delicious, old neighborhood atmosphere nothing fancy but clean and the food was good ol home cooking. I had what they called the BBB I couldn't even eat all of it. If we come close to this place again I would love to try a lunch there.
My husband and I just found this hidden gem this morning and were VERY pleasantly surprised! Great service, Delicious food and such a neat little place! We will absolutely be back!!
