I used to love this place. I knew it as a great place with great services and foods, which goes back to 6 months ago. However, in my last visit, I had one my worse experiences ever. I am not sure what has been changed, but this place has been upside down in everythings. The food was awful! We couldn't finish our plate because of its bad quality. The meats were bad and tasted awful. The new waitress wasn't working and serving any customer. It is definitely my last visit.Do not recommend to anyone.

My favorite spot to eat when I come to St. Louis.. absolutely delicious and always super friendly staff.

This place was really good!! It is a hookah lounge with amazing food!! They serve food till late too!Our waitress was phenomenal at giving us suggestions, since we had never been before and didn't really know what to get. The portion size was more than enough!!We got the Vegetarian Platter because we wanted to try a mixture of almost all the appetizers and the Ranoush Mixed Grill because we wanted to try a mixture of some warm things. Both were DELICIOUS!!Surprisingly though, if we had to pick a favorite, it was the Vegetarian Platter. We loved everything on that atter...couldn't get enough of it!! And it was all good mixed together, like sampling different tastes mixed together. The Ranoush Mixed Grill was really good too, but the lamb was by far our favorite thing on there...next time, we would just order that by itself, because the flavor and texture was on point!!! The Shish Tawuk and beef kafta were really good too, but we just really enjoyed the lamb better. (That's just our personal preference). But everything was really good and very flavorful! The sauce they give you to dip the food in is very good too!We will definitely be going back!!

We visited in from DC and stopped by here twice. The first time was cool.nice vibeThe second time was the worst. 30 minute wait for a drink we waited almost 45 minutes for a hookah and we watched our waitress (Alley) sit with customers just talking while we waited. The hostess was no help as he would say he was coming and just stood at the door. Then they charged an additional $20 because there was 6 of us. No mention of this charge before hand. This place has the potential to be something great but my advice is to hire better staff.

This restaurant was wonderful. Food was absolutely DELICIOUS and the staff were friendly. Our waitress Kay Kay was incredible, and made a fantastic suggestion as to what we should order. Would love to come back again!

I have no idea where all these positive reviews are coming from. This place looks nothing like the photos it is absolutely filthy and rundown. We ordered only a falafel just to give it a chance and it was overcooked, dry and served with a mustard sauce?! The menu is way over priced: $6-7 for an order of fries! Not a wonder the place was empty at 6pm on a Friday night. Maybe it’s just a dingy hookah place now, whatever deliciousness this place once had is long long gone.

AMAZING food! Their baba ghanoush, labneh, hummus, muhammara and falafel are outstanding

This is one of my favorite places to go in St. Louis with my husband. Peter has been our server from dating, engaged, married, pregnant, new parents etc. we love coming here. The food, drinks and hookah are great! The owner is nice and down to earth also! Great place!

First time I was there, they were busy but everything was fine, service was fast. But the last time I was there, everything was horrible. We sat outside, it took them 30 minutes to notice us and got our order, then it took another 30 minutes to finally get a hookah. The guy who served us seemed to ignore us most of the time. Good thing is the waitresses there were responsive and friendly. Our check was $25. I gave that guy $40. After 15 minutes wait he gave us $5!!! So he took $10 for himself. I was soooo disappointed so we just left, I didn’t want to wait any minutes there for him to fix our check.

A few years ago, after a disappointing stint, we decided to quit ordering from here. Thought we'd try again recently. Nearly 90 dollars (with tip) later, we are sure we will not be going back. If anything, it's become worse. We were disappointed. A once great place, it looked tired, the cooking was indifferent and lazy. Falafel tasted like it was microwaved, that bad.Right next day we decided to try a comparison. Now for just over half that price, Sultan in the Grove provided amazing food, and consistently great taste and service. Please do not waste your money at Ranoush.
