My first time Friday 13, 2022 and there was NO Friday the 13th problems at all. Had the best tamales I’ve ever had and the best margarita in my life…. The owner is fantastic and the crew were amazing. Hope to visit again on my next visit from Alabama !!!!??

I would never recommend this place to anyone. 1st, the server was horrible, she was in and out in her own head, had to call her 3 times, once to say we are ready to order, 2 to even refill drinks just once and 3rd time to tell her we needed our bill! She was more interested in taken pics of her self at the bar counter then the one table she had in the whole restaurant. The food?!! Not good at all for the prices they charge. I got the fajitas, they was not good, the chicken was in huge, I mean huge chunks, it didn't come out sizzling at all, it def was sitting for a moment in there window because it was warm. The tortillas was mixed. With 2 different kinds, and used the one corn tortilla and it wasn't even cooked/heated! On top of all that they charge for any lil xtras, lettuce, cheese tomatoe and so on! Towards the end, there is way better Mexican restaurants in STL to go too, we still even tipped the server 20%, because we know what it's like to have to serve for a living.(wasn't deserved) But definitely will not come back here again.

Really innovative options for the veggies and the pescies--err, pescatarians ?--among us. I arrived on a Monday afternoon--it's hard to find any place open on Mondays in South City--and decided to sit on the patio, though it was arguably too cold for that. (I was warm from walking and optimistic.) Their chips are fairly good, but their salsas were the standout: salsa fresca, salsa verde, and one made from dried chilies.I ordered sopes and tamales. I had heard of but never tried sopes, but they're a great vegetarian option--just beans, cheese, and pico de gallo on a corn cake base. It comes with guac, as well. I also tried both the jalapeño and cheese tamales and the bean ones. The bean were plain but delicious with the salsas, which I'd hung onto so I could enjoy them with my meal. The jalapeño cheese ones were a revelation. Who knew vegetarian food could be this exciting? My server was Fede and he was fantastic. He checked on me many times and asked how I liked everything. I had to get a to go container, as the sopes appetizer could easily be an entree, but I'm not at all upset about having another meal or two at home!

It’s the best authentic Mexican cuisine in St. Louis, and the friendliest staff!

Hands down the best guac, margaritas, and tamales in St Louis.

Surprisingly good food, but I wasn't expecting to go here in the first place, as I was trying to go to Yapi but they said they were only open until 6 on a Friday, even though their website said they were open until 8, but anyway we drove by Pueblo Solis after that and my pals said "Mexican food sounds good" but I told them this place sounds expensive, because it doesn't have one of ten typical names for a mexican restaurant, but they didn't listen to me, and I'll say I'm glad they didn't, because, and I'll admit that it was a little more expensive than a lot of Mexican restaurants, it was also considerably better, starting at the basics: the chips were served with three salsas, and I have to give them a lot of credit for offering a green, tomatillo based salsa for chip dipping, as it was so delicious , as was the main coarse

best mexican food in st louis

Awesome and very polite service. The lady refilling water and chips does a fantastic job keep it up. The margaritas were very tasty my girlfriend and I enjoyed them very much. I had the pomegranate and she had the Raspberry recommend both of them. This is the steak burrito with all the extras. It was very filling and so good. The reason I came here was because La Catarina had a wait so we went here glad we did. Will definitely be back

Great! And greater!

Our most favorite Mexican place for the last 20 years! The best food and drinks, and kindest staff.
