Love taste of their chicken. Fries rarely fresh. Mussy. OAsked for fresh fries when I picked up counter person called out my name. Older cook in the back replied with fresh fries with attitude.If I pay 13.00 plus for a meal ( that included extra slaw). I should not have to hear attitude because the food should be fresh. Fries never right. Wgen you make money guess details don't matter

We were so happy with our delivery order! Fried chicken was wonderful. Fried shrimp was wonderful. Cole slaw…wonderful. Fried okra? You guessed it, wonderful. We’ll be ordering again soon!

Loved the deep fried livers. Shrimp is excellent too! Like everywhere else, prices sure have gone up! Online menu prices are inaccurate.

I just called in a order for myself and co worker. A cod sandwich with cheese, liver/gizzard snack with 2 rolls, 6 piece wing dinner and 3 extra rolls. After my co worker returned with our food we notice the mashed potato and Cole slaw wasn't in her 6 PC wing dinner. I called Porters to let them know and the conversation went this way. After stating we didn't get the 2 sides with the wing dinner the cashier said I gave her 3 rolls like she asked. I said that was added on and we have the 3 rolls but we're missing her 2 sides. The cashier then said I gave her the 3 rolls instead of the 2 sides. I said why? She ordered the dinner and added 3 rolls. She said well we give 3 rolls instead of the 2 sides. I replied, if asked for the substitution yes but she didn't say substitute the sides for the 3 rolls she asked for the 6 PC dinner and added 3 rolls to the entire order. Noone asked you to substitute anything. The cashier yelled in my ear "SO WHAT DO U WANT ME TO DO!!!. Because she was frustrated with her inability to provide a logical excuse as to why SHE decided to substitute the rolls for the sides without being asked. I said "nothing" I don't trust coming to get the sides now because of ur attitude and u just lost 2 customers cause I'll never eat there again and I hung up. I spent $24.27 and because she took it upon herself to substitute the sides strictly because we asked for 3 rolls SHE caused the confusion, the unprofessionalism and the loss of longtime good paying customers.

Ordered the three piece special dinner and it contained 3 super large breasts cooked to perfection with wonderful coating. One of the best chicken dinners in St Louis. The mashed potatoes and gravy was impressive as they put gravy on bottom of potatoes too, so gravy available for entire pile of mashed potatoes. The bun was even very good! Only thing that was not top-rated was the cole slaw which was a little sweet for my taste but the wife loved it.

Hands down some of the best chicken, fish and fried okra I've ever had. Service was respectful and food was very well prepared. I'd definitely revisit in the near future!!

I went there last night after nearly 2 decades living in the area and wanting to try their fried chicken. The place is clean and it doesn’t have typical greasy smell, that I almost mistaken it as cold sandwich shop. I ordered 2 piece dark which was very reasonably priced for the portion. Along with that, I asked for my wing to be spicy. The owner/ cook gave me an extra piece which was a very nice surprise. The chicken tastes fresh, cooked properly (no red left but not dry/ overcooked) and the seasoning is perfect. It was to go order and I didn’t get to eat it for about 20 mins after it’s taken off the fryer, still it tastes as fresh as if I’m eating it at the restaurant. This is now my fave chicken place. I may be calling to put my order in next time because the spicy takes more time to prep, but definitely worth the wait.

Love Porters but last visit disappointing. Tiny little wings with a big price. Called to talk to manager but all she.said was sorry, having trouble getting decent ones. Then lower the price cause a 20 pc bucket not worth $30!

Ì heard great things about this place and wanted to try it. The chicken had good flavor but was undercooked and saturated in oil.

I just felt the customer concern was not there today I called my order in at 2:45p and was given a pick up time of 3:10p when I arrived at 3:12p I paid for my order and patiently waited while watching numerous customers come and go with their orders and finally after waiting inside 25mins after my order was promised I kindly asked was there any issues going on with my order and was told that they didn't get my ticket order and that I have two options I could either wait for 15 to 20 additional minutes or get my money back and she told me in a way that was so detached from the experience that I was having at the expense of their business and service as if they really didn't care about the mistake that was made because I'm sure it was just a mistake and I'm not here to bash this business because the chicken is good but today I felt really under valued as a customer! A little thoughtfulness and customer concern can go a long way amongst human contact!
