Good service and delicious falafel
Food is great. Just stopped in as an impulse while getting an oil change. Got the chicken gyro sandwich. Lots of fresh veggies and tasty meat.
This place is amazing! Best chicken tandoori and butekas EVER! If you have not tried it you must go!!!
Food was good but not stellar, pricing and atmosphere considered, the experience was subpar. I wanted to love it as it seems like a genuine, traditional pita spot. I ended up paying $11 for a gyro, no drink no side.
I've been going to Pita Plus for years now and I'm a big fan. I thought I'd write a review because most of the other reviews mention gyros and falafel, which are great, but I thought I'd mention the egg salad pita. It is delicious! They use spices that aren't typical in the American version - not overwhelming, just adds a new touch. They also include fresh veggies, which I really like as well (diced white onion, cucumber, tomato, and lettuce, with a pickle spear on the side). As some others have mentioned, the burekas are really yummy, too!
Terrible customer service. I got the tandoori chicken sandwich. The description said nothing about being breaded. The chicken came out soggy and, in my opinion, inedible. It was also VERY spicy with no "hot" warning. After telling the manager what my problems were with the food, I asked as nicely as I could for a different sandwich filling. I was told I would have to purchase another sandwich. She said this is how they've made it for 12 years and they can't change the recipe just for me. I DID NOT ASK HER TO CHANGE THE RECIPE. I didn't even want a brand new sandwich. I just wanted a different meat. I work at a restaurant and I know the cost of replacing 3-4oz of meat is not worth a bad customer experience or a bad review. I don't care how good you think your food is or how long you've been making it that way; if the customer asks for something different, you do your best to accommodate them, especially if they are nice about it. To top it all off, after refusing to buy another sandwich, the woman went in the kitchen and complained about me to another employee loudly enough for me to hear it. So yeah, definitely won't be coming back.
I will forever hold my allegiance to St. Louis Gyros, sorry Pita Plus! The food is underwhelming and yet it's priced like it's fine dining. You go in and you get the feeling you just need to get out of there ASAP, like you're not supposed to be there. The lamb meat, which is the most important thing to get right, is usually dry and dull. Honestly, just go to St. Louis Gyros.
Food is grossly expensive for the size. Less than 2 oz of hummus for $10? Then I get there to pick up the food and the worker confronts me saying I'm nit the woman who ordered on the phone. I'm a man.
They deserve 5 stars. That grilled chicken was delicious… Guys trust me, you should try it
I took away one star for my mom's order. She said she wasn't pleased with the lamb. If you like falafel, get the falafel. Because their meat gets dry sometimes due to lack of business.
