Some of the best bbq I’ve ever had !!! When I’m st Louis you gotta add Pappys to your must see

5 ratings for Customer Service, Ambience, Food, and Price.Perhaps the best sweet potato fries in the world!!!. Dark, crispy, and thinly cut, dipped in any of the remarkable sauces, turning already terrific fries into mouth-watering goodness. One of STL's best BBQ joints ever!! This place always has a line. IT'S WORTH IT!! And just like the sign on their wall says-it doesn't matter what you get, it's all good! Some of the best BBQs I have ever had. Make sure to get there early because they will sell out of everything by the time they close.

The food was quite tender and moist...the ribs seemed to be the biggest hit. The green bean side is quite nicely flavored. I personally had the brisket sandwich. It was super tender properly lean, but was thin sliced and wet and somewhat lacking in intense smoked flavors like I get at another BBQ favorite. The pulled pork was described as very good and flavorful though I only had the brisket. Service was excellent and the atmosphere friendly and open. We had a great meal.

Yep, the real deal. Everything you hear is true. BEST. RIBS. ON. THE. PLANET. Slow smoked. Unbelievably tender. Walked in for takeout 20 minutes from closing and they were friendly, smiling, and full of recommendations. In St Louis? Go out of your way to get here!

This was the first place we visited when we arrived in St Louis due to the positive reviews. We were blown away by the quality of the food. The ribs lived up to the hype and were outstanding compared to most BBQ restaurants. Also the burnt ends were so good. In addition, we loved the baked beans, sweet potato fries and coleslaw. In addition, the customer service was great as they were so nice and the food arrived quickly. We might have to stop here on our way back home!

My husband loved this place, I wasn’t a big fan to be honest. Not much of a wait when we went, which was great! Staff was super friendly and my hubby loved his pulled pork and slaw! I had the brisket, baked potato and baked beans. Wasn’t a fan of the way the brisket was sliced(very thin). My potato was still pretty hard and cool on the inside, and my baked beans had a gooey texture to them. I think I gave most of my food to a man standing on the street corner, who was hungry! But like I say about places…you never know unless you try it! The manager or owner one did give my husband a t-shirt for our granddaughter though, which was super cool of him! So kudos for going above and beyond with that!

Ordered a rack w/beans and corn bread. Simply the best quality and tasty ribs in town. Sides were good as well.

The place is always full, so be prepared to make a line and wait. The food is great and the place is simple but good. We recommend the ribs, but the pulled pork and brisket was great too.

With mild anticipation I searched for the top rated bbq joint while out of town, thus Pappy’s. I ordered baked beans ( very good), slaw (excellent), and then the meats………the ribs were on the dryer side, maybe cooked too long, maybe because they’re baby back versus fattier St. Louis or spareribs. Not a fan of baby backs. Disappointingly not moist. Then the burnt ends, first bite great, then again it was too lean, not juicy moist. And finally the brisket, oddly enough it tasted a bit like pastrami, tender but no fat. Overall, average famous bbq joint, obviously a popular place but most backyard cooks can equal these meat dishes. Wife had the pulled pork, anyone can cook that.

Excellent food with a great curbside pickup system. I thought the pulled pork platter was one of the best I have had. The corn had a very interesting flavor and was very good. I think the crinkle fries let them down a bit. Will definitely go back.
