Probably the best diner food I've ever had. They were running a steak breakfast burrito special today, and it was incredible. I just moved to the area, but I think I may have found my regular weekend place.
I really like going here. It's not just food, but a journey. A journey back to a time where small roadside diners, or "greasy spoons" were commonplace on the historic highways across the country. It is simple and does not pretend to be something that it is not. It's hallmarks are good service and good food. You even have to pay in cash, since no credit cards are accepted there. Take the journey and enjoy an escape from today. Your stomach will thank you.
Definitely a 5 star experience for me. This place was recommended to a coworker and myself and the food was delicious. My burger was made to order and brought out to my table no problems.
I love their food and so glad they have Hollandaise sauce 7 days a week now.The one bizarre thing about this place is there is no smoking, however the place will leave your clothes smelling like an ashtray. I don't fully understand it. My best guess is the walls are so heavily covered in residue from 20 years ago that it makes our clothes even today smell.
Hands down, my fave breakfast joint. They serve a good lunch, too. Reasonably priced but bring cash. The only thing is they need better ventilation. You come out smelling like a fryer. Its worth it, though.
Food is always amazing! Love their patty melts, hash browns and waffles! Haven’t had a bad experience and we go quite often! Service is always awesome also! Servers and staff very friendly
Great diner. Everyone was very friendly. It is cash only, they do have an ATM inside the diner. Food is exceptional. I recommend either the Slider or the Double Cheeseburgher.
I will say that the food is great but I'm not to sure if the waitresses are happy serving black customers. They seem to be short and avoid servicing black customers. We eventually stopped eating in after several of these interactions. The owner needs to have a conversation if customers are feeling this way. We are always kind and leave generous tips because the prices are more than reasonable. So what gives?
So delicious! We had the pancakes (best I've had in St Louis in 8 years!) and the malt Waffle covered in brown sugar & Bananas. That was bliss. Just the perfect old school diner.
Where do I start. Well let's start with the service, the women her serving us breakfast this morning did an exceptional job very accommodating and friendly. Second the cooks are doing a fantastic job the food was delicious I had the special which was a steak burrito and my girlfriend ordered eggs hashbrowns sausage and pancakes (those pancakes alone make me want to come back nice and fluffy on the inside the crust was kind of crispy which was spectacular) keep up the great job! Also when we arrived it was crowded but don't let that scare you away it's quick service. I couldn't believe how fast they got my food to us. Highly recommend it and will definitely be back.
