I haven't ate there yet but I plan on going soon as I get a chance. Me and my wife we both been looking for a good smoke house. That serve soul food.
The ribs! The ribs are fall off the bone good and juicy! The greens, the sweet potatoes, the potato salad and the baked bean....everything was too good! And I really don't trust places this these....I will be ordering from this place again.
Unable to produce large quantities of anything in the store as well in. Came from Illinois twice for large potatoes salad and black eye peas. U can only get catering order for large items but they are never available for phone service or online order. I would give them a thumbs down for service and accommodation for their customers.
I would really love to support this local business as a resident of Overland, but they close at 6 p.m., don't take phone orders, and online ordering closes at 5. I hope they can increase staffing, or whatever they need to do, so people who work all day can order from them after the work day ends during normal dinner times.
Very friendly food was amazing and ginormous i had the pork steak and she told me i was gonna have to save at least half of it for later and she was right! We don't get out this way much but we will probably make special trips that way just to get some food!
If real missouri food is your passion than here it is served.wether it's fried fish or barbeque brisket,cornbread anything you order here will be too damn good to not talk about.so if you happen to hit our beautiful beloved LOU in your travels or are fortunate like me to be here.lol make this a stop.if you leave hungry or dissapointed then you didn't come here..awsome place for some tasty feastables.have a great day and a better meal.
The staff is very nice and greets you warmly with a smile. I tried the pork steak and the catfish. Both were excellent! They have a nice menu of items to choose from. Operating as a "carry out" only due to staffing issues (12/2021).
Mixed emotions.. and maybe it's just their business model. My kids wanted pulled pork and was told this place is good. They loved their pulled pork sandwich but to wait 30minutes for them to put cooked meat on a bun? Like I said, a different business model.. can 60min ahead of when you want to eat? We are too much on the move for that.
Great people. Good food but mostly pork based. Been here a couple of times for our Friday lunch. I am not a fan of anything that is pork based. A coworker loves it though. He thinks there food is top notch.
Rib tips, fish chicken, all great. Great sides too. They're definitely throwing down the groceries!
