Been here before and usually food and service is good. This last time I stood in line for over 30 minutes because a couple of people decided to order for their entire families or congregations. I got out of line in pretty much the same place I started when I saw food wasn't being replaced. Just unlucky this day. I will try them again.
Everything that ordered was horrible the baked chicken was cold/tasteless macaroni and cheese also cold/dryand tasteless the worst collard greens I've ever tasted needless to say cold dry no seasoni g and that dressing should have been thrown in the trash. Will never purchase anything from this place again
Going here was a unique experience. The food is under seasoned and the temperatures are all wrong. If it's supposed to be crispy it's actually soggy. If it's supposed to be grilled or bbq it's not tender and the sauce is not done. I expected more from a soulful restaurant. I expected flavor and to start a addiction. The side dishes are half cooked. The cornbread is dry and flavorless. You expect hot food but it's cold.The service is painfully slow and I don't see anyplace to wash hands. Gloves are being used but if you touch everything how are your hands sanitized. I mean your touching face hair food and everything in sight. But oh yeah you got gloves on. I'm still wondering how you fry chicken but it's not done on the inside. Once you get the food home you have to cook it more. If I ended up cooking why did I go to a restaurant.
I have visited Mom’s once before with my father which the place was VERY DIRTY he brought chitlins then turned and asked if I wanted anything. Nothing Pop’s absolutely nothing. Went again today maybe 5 or so years later and they are inside waving people off with a huge smile pointing down to a sign.. which says they are closed to the public by the Broad of health and whoever else closes restaurant’s down.
I cannot, with good conscience, give this food anything but a 1. The smell was rancid. everything was sour. The only thing that didn't smell terrible was the dressing, and I got no gravy with it. who eats dry dressing? All in all a wasted 40 dollars because it's sitting in the trash. each container is full.
I got rib tips, baked Mac n cheese & collard greens. The Mac n cheese needed a bit of added salt n pepper but overall it very delicious. I ordered through Uber Eats everything was timely like clockwork ? Food deserves 5 stars ?
A great place, friendly staff and mice decorations. food was good and stuffed me up! I went there with my family and we were all happy prices are worth it and I do reccomend you to go! take the whole family out.
Food is good, kinda reminds you of grandma's on Sunday after church.
Food was great but one of the cashier's came off as rude...I almost walked out but we waited in line for a while so I ignored it. The wait was worth it though so I can't say I wouldn't go again minus the cashier.
I'm from another city & the food isn't worth the cost. Also, they tax each item separately, which is MORE COST!! I'll never go back!!
