So, I was craving a buffalo chicken sandwich. It was my first time here, so I was excited about this place and have been recommended by a few people. I ordered the sandwich and saw them get the chicken patty out of the freezer and microwave it, I know I was in trouble. When I saw her get it out of the freezer, I wanted to change my order, but the employee had her headphone in and wasn’t paying much attention to me trying to get her attention. Then when I ate it, it was as to be expected bread soggy and not very good . Wouldn’t recommend going.
A classic. We hosted a 75 person luncheon following our wedding and of course served Mom’s Special Sandwiches. It was, as always, easy to order, ready on time, fresh, and delicious! We are still getting compliments. An STL must-have!
Love coming to this place, can’t wait to try everything on the menu. Hits the spot every time. And the double meat is what you would expect. Or at least I’m happy with it.
I drove past this place with my wife and kids while visiting STL. There was a line of people waiting out the door. Little word of advice, whenever a little hole in the wall joint has a line, the food will most likely be fire. Was not disappointed! We got a "Mom" and a "Dad". The subs were delicious. The ingredients were fresh. The staff were polite, quick, and efficient. 10/10 would recommend.
I am STL born and raised never been here before but husband brought home this sandwich a few times, so I had to go there myself when I was in the area!1st visit today and I Got the moms special with no lettuce tomato or pickles! (Love those ingredients but my stomach don’t agree)Sandwich was awesome ? Thank you moms deli! Bread was a little hard for my liking but was airy soft at the ends. I definitely will be back!
Good ole fashion south StL sandwich. No thrills, just good tasting sandwiches made to order or off the menu. I like pasta salad to. And of course, you to grab some Old Vienna corn chips. With a cold Coke. This is what St. Louis is all about!
I don't understand what all the hype is about. Just a regular sandwich. I ordered a hot roast beef and salami, they have a special name for it. Pre-cut meat and like subway already ready for the bread. Then they nuke it.THEY NEED A TOASTER

My first trip to moms was underwhelming because the bread was tough. In following visits I've opted for wheat bread and it's fantastic. Mom's Special is a classic.These sandwiches are big and can either feed 2, or someone very, very hungry.Great selection of chips, soft drinks, sweets, and more!
