Hannah served us tonight, and lovely would be an understatement. Very attentive and connective, as well as quick on her feet. I manage a retail environment and employees like this are a dime a dozen. Even though the item we came in for was unavailable, she provided an excellent experience for us.
Recently went to Mission Taco Joint with my daughter in the Central West End. It was great! I haven’t eaten here in awhile so it was nice to revisit it. It was nice evening and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Food was great and our waitress was very attentive. Next time you visit St. Louis or find yourself in the Central West End looking for a fun, casual night out, Mission Taco Joint is definitely a restaurant you should consider.
Fast service, great employees, good vibes. Theres outdoor seating for nice days, well lit inside.I had chicken and shrimp tacos, plus a vegan burrito (CA). All very well presented and taste just as good.I would definitely return here for sure! Next time is tequila time!!!
Mission was really delicious. We had great service and the meal was timely and affordable. I would highly recommend experiencing the tequila drinks along with the tacos.
Stopped in on a whim for lunch. I was greeted by friendly staff and chose to sit at the bar. The bartender was helpful with tequila recommendations so I was able to settle up on something fairly quickly as they have a decent variety to choose from. I ordered a burrito that was pretty tasty and a good size for the price. MTJ is a chain and while I usually make tacos at home or grab them from my local food truck, I would still recommend this place for LUNCH or a mid day drink. Facility was well kept. Bathrooms were clean. Staff was well groomed. Service met my expectation.
Amazing tacos ???absolutely wonderful service and good.
Great variety-great service and menu options.
Stuck at the hospital just down the road and thought I’d order some tacos from this place to lighten the mood since the reviews are pretty favorable. Was very disappointed— the tacos were cold. They might have been pretty good if not. Salsa was great with the chips but it’s sad when the best thing in the order was the kids quesadilla because it was at least somewhat warm… also, these tacos are 2 or 3 bites max. They sell for almost $5 a piece — that might just be DoorDash inflating prices, but that is not worth it at all. Might give this place a second try sometime…
This place used to be one of my favorite restaurants but each time I come back, the quality of the food has deteriorated to the point where I won't be back. The queso used to be great but is now more like a store bought paste. The taco shells seem old and stale. The chicken is dry and the presentation of the actual food has changed to the point where it looks like it was prepared in my own kitchen. It is a shame because this place used to be my go to, but now I won't be coming back. For the price you pay, there are so many other places that serve better tacos/Mexican in St. Louis. Also, on these is lemonade and the other is water. I’m not sure if they’re trying to cut corners or what. Not worth the time or money
Went here late September 2021. Margaritas were good but their tacos had the driest meat ever. I did not want to give them 1 star because the service was fine and drinks were fine but WOW were the tacos dry. Please beware because I wish I had tried one before I ordered 7. Again, no problem with service/drinks/ taco concepts. The meat was jerky dry and inedible. Please note that I took the order to go (meat should not be that dry regardless since I dug in 15 minutes later). I would recommend drinking here but based on my experience I would not eat here.
